What is there to do here????

Okay, not literally. My mom is coming for a WEEK for Spring Break next week and I am still planning a few things. So far I have:

Guthrie (old time feel, right?), Bricktown (area), OKC National Memorial... I should also add that we are going to Dallas to visit my sister for 2 days!

Thanks for your assistance!

Re: What is there to do here????

  • I recommend looking on Facebook for the "365 things to do in Oklahoma City" page.  There is all kinds of cool stuff listed on there.

I don't know if it's anything your mom would be into, but I think the Plaza District is pretty cool. http://www.plazadistrict.org/   It's a good place for cool, funky local shopping.

  • The OKC Museum of Art is awesome. Paseo has some funky art galleries and stores and yummy restaurants. If the weather is nice, Lake Hefner, the zoo. I sedond critti's Plaza District suggestion as well.

  • The elephants are back at the Zoo, the art museum always has a good exhibit, plus the permanent Chihuly exhibit, the Warren has a great theater balcony, the Poteet theater is putting on Ain't Misbehavin', and the Redhawks are putting on an exhibition game on the 15th. Not to mention all the St. Patty's day stuff that day.

  • How have I not heard of the plaza district? I've got to check that out. Another idea - the Sam Noble natural history museum in Norman, or the Fred Jones jr. art museum.

Tomorrow would be a good time to check it out, it's their monthly event. http://www.plazadistrict.org/live.html

  • Thanks ladies, I have never heard of The Plaza District either, it looks fun! I am trying to ensure that my mom has a great time here and all the suggestions will be so very helpful!
