Freezing Soup

What type of container do you freeze your soups in? Are those big ziplock bags good for soup?

Re: Freezing Soup

  • Yep, I either freeze them in tall cylinders that come with the foodsaver machine or I cool it off and put them in gallon size zip top bags so that they can lay flat. I cool it off first so that the heat doesn't leach any bpa that might be present.

  • I always just do gallon ziplock bags.  That way I can freeze them flat and save room.

I never thought about that!   I use bags and from now on I will be letting them cool first.  :-)
