So I was at good will today looking for an outfit for this 80s murder mystery party I am going to on Saturday (totally scored) so I have my one outfit, go to get in line and there is a woman in front of me w/ her cart full and over flowing w/ clothes.
Of course there is one register and one person working the desk. I ask if someone else can ring me up, nope. So I'm a little annoyed, but wait and as I'm watching the woman in front me says "oh it's my daughter's bday today I got her tons of clothes" this woman was dressed just awful, I felt so bad as I'm sitting there playing on my iphone, and shopping there for a costume basically. This family is obvisously just making it, and I'm a brat who is impatient.. She kept apoligizing and I just said, no worries, that her daughter is a lucky girl, she kept showing me stuff that she got her, it was sweet, but just made my heart ache. It must be so hard.
SO then the woman at the counter rings me up and gives me 1/2 off, so my outfit was $4. I felt so bad, I tried to pay full price, but she wouldn't let me,

Man, that is sad.
Look at it this way: you are helping contribute to the goodwill store by purchasing those items. In a way, you are giving back. Whether it is $8 or $4.
