For fun - what makes you feel old? feel young?
I drove my mom's car the other day and Ace of Base was playing on her oldies station?! Stupid Ace of Base - that made me feel old
Going out for drinks with my friends always makes me feel young (until I have to wake up with my 2 year old the next morning)
Re: For fun - what makes you feel old? feel young?
The Minnesota School of Bartending commercial with the girl at the end who looks like she's 12 and says bartending is the best job she has ever had makes me feel old.
I'm not sure what makes me feel young anymore. I turned 36 last month and I feel like a crotchety old lady.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
My neices and nephews on facebook make me feel old! The "slang" and abbreviations they use and just the fact that I have neices and nephews on facebook makes me feel old!
Hmmm....not much makes me feel young right now! I guess working in building with an aging employee base makes me feel young. LOL
Getting "Ma'am"d always makes me feel old. I don't feel old enough to be a ma'am. I should be a "miss" dang it.
Falling asleep on the couch during the news does it too. I used to tease my parents for that - now I'm rethinking that decision!
Young - I can still figure out most of the stuff on my computer without help. I can still shop places and not worry about "Am I too old to wear this?" which, unfortunately probably isn't that far off (I'm 31). I still get carded when I get a drink at a bar or restaurant. I used to think it was a pain and now it is a compliment.
I turned 25 in October so I still feel pretty young, but I feel like I'm getting old, too.
My cousins who were born in '93/'94 graduating soon... 1990's doesn't feel that long ago.
My Little Sister turning 22 in a few months
The fact that I can remember something that happened 20 years ago makes me feel really old.
I still listen to KDWB and not KS95, so that makes me feel young still.
my read shelf:
Feel old - when I bend over, then straighten up and my knees crack. Yuck. Too much running when I was younger.
Feel young - I still listen to KDWB. And I get carded. I was also told by the checkout lady at Target that I didn't look like I needed anti-wrinkle cream.
Seeing high schoolers in letter jackets makes me feel old. Having a 19 year old nephes makes me feel old.
All of our friends having kids except us makes me feel young. Having colleagues refer to "60 as the new 40" makes me feel young
I had a friend write this on her Facebook yesterday, as it was her 60th birthday. That actually made me feel old, as I thought "I have a 60-year-old friend that's not just a friend of my parents?"
Seeing shows like "Roseanne" and "Married With Children" that I watched as a kid on TV Land makes me feel old. That's supposed to be black and white shows like "Lassie" and "Mr. Ed." That, and seeing that some kids I used to babysit now have a kid/s of their own.
I don't have kids, and I don't really want them anytime really soon. That makes me feel young!
Old: The fact that my cousin who is 6 months younger than me is pregnant with her 4th child. I am 27 and don't have any children yet.
Young: I went on a party bus a few weeks ago and didn't get home until 4am.
Old...I found my first gray hair last week, right before my 36th birthday. Damn it! My cousin who was born the year I graduated is graduating this year. And finally, my chronic hip pain from an injury 6 years ago. My husband always say I am going to make great 80 year old.
Young...having my kids at school think I'm in my twenties, going to concerts where I have to stand up, my soft skin on my face, and playing board games.
