Ick.
I ventured in for fabric.
What an effing dump. The space where the photo center was is empty. And the space where fabric was is empty.
And the rest of the place was downright nasty.
Re: WalMart
We avoid Walmart. It used to be more because of our lefty lefty liberalism ideals, but now it's more just about personal preference. We were going to get Marcus' hair cut and thought we'd consider the place in Walmart because it seemed like it would be cheap and they must cut a lot of kid's hair...we walked in one Saturday morning and turned right back around.
Yeah the Augusta one is in ruins right now.
We bank at the CU in Walmart so I do end up going there for random stuff I need.
Very good point!
This. We used to go there and then switched to Hannaford. I have never once regretted that decision. The place and the people disgust me. But I do love me some People of Walmart.
All the Walmarts stopped carrying fabric quite a while ago.
The only place in Sanford to get fabric now is the sewing machine store (they carry just a few quilt fabrics) or Marden's (mostly quilt fabric, too).
The one in Newport still has fabric.
Walmart sucks. We have one a mile from our house and not much else in town, so I'll go there for random items. Being as I work near a Target though, I go there much more often. Walmart makes me angry, depressed and hateful towards people. What a toilet!
ditto all of this.
Maybe it's just the ones in southern Maine. Hmph.
Yeah, Wally world can be depressing. But, it serves its purpose for me. It's cheap and they have everything. I prefer Target, cause they just seem a little better quality and they have fruit, for on the go.
Honestly, they are all massive giants, but sometimes you just need to get what's cheap
Our Portsmouth/Newington walmarts are better than a lot.
