AW: I did it!

I made it through my first run today without dying! :) Granted it was only 2 miles so I know I shouldn't be too excited. I'm embarassed to say that the last time I ran was the Dam to Dam 20K when I was 5 weeks pregnant with B. The hyperemesis became pretty much unbearable after that point and thus the running stopped. I got cleared to work out Tuesday and have done the elliptical but tonight was my first outside run! I am super out of shape and it will be a long road back but baby steps right? :)

  • With all honesty,I think anyone who runs, even a little bit, deserves a tip of the hat. Kudos to you for getting out there!!!!  Despite running track in high school, I think all these hips are good for now is birthing babies. Running is so freakin' hard. You are awesome! Keep up the good work!

  • Way to go!  I don't think I have ever run 2 miles, to be honest with you.  Kudos to you -- sounds like you're off to a great start!
  • That's awesome!!! B is only a little over a month old and you can run 2 miles! I can't even do that! Great job!!!

  • Great Job! H and I decided to do Dam 2 Dam this year! Gotta get my buns in gear!!! Kudos to you sista
  • 2 miles is great for just starting out again! Tonight would have been a great night for a run!
  • Way to go!  2 miles is nothing to blow off.  That's great!

MrsReem made me laugh about the high school track comment.  I broke my finger running track (don't ask) and the doctor said I 'probably shouln't run'.  So I took that to the coach asap.  I was thrilled!  Then I joined the tennis team two weeks later.  With a broken finger ;)
