I just heard this AM that Melissa is leaving...did they say why? Is she pregnant?

Also ditto on Jeff being a pig, but I didn't know they were getting divorced.

All I heard was that she chose not to renew her contract and that it was something she had been thinking about for 6 mos. or so. Either she was tired of radio or wanted to try her luck elsewhere, though they said she wasn't going to another station, or she wanted more $$$, especially since Jeff just renegotiated last year (?). I don't mind Jeff, I think he's funny at times. I think he just says rude things to get a rise out of everybody. Bert gets on my nerves and you have to have a guy there to lessen the annoyance of Wendy/Jen.

To be honest, the only reasons I listen in my 20 min commute are that I can't stand the alternatives and DH wants to hear the traffic.

wendy gets on my last nerve and i cringe everytime i hear her speak. she's such a dumbbassss.

I used to listen all the time, but I got tired of the same crap and drama every morning. So i quit, but I did read about it in AJC this morning. I hope she is able to be happy in whatever she chooses.

wait. What? Damn my short commute! I need to start listening on my desk radio once I get in to work!

I'm not terribly surprised Melissa is leaving. She's been with the station since the 90's & 99X, so it may just be time for her to move on.

We only listen to local radio in the AM. Any other time, it's satellite. We actually just upgraded to the lifetime plan and are crossing our fingers that XM doesn't go under. In 4 or 5 yrs it'll pay for itself and we will be keeping our car for at least 7 more yrs and likely longer. With lifetime you also get 1 free transfer to another device.

I like the show and I'll miss Melissa. She is one of my favorites.

I woke up to Jeff crying last week. That was sooo sad. I didn't hear everything he said. Anyone hear what he said? Why they are getting divorced?

I will not miss the Jessica Shops segment at all.

This exactly. Jeff is actually my favorite person on that show. I never listen anymore but hear about it this morning. I liked Melissa - hope she is happy and does well.

Jeff - he is just an a-hole and do not find him humorous in the least. I find him condescending, judgmental and all around jerk. I didn't hear why they're divorcing either? Another one who will NOT miss Jessica's segment- her voice/demeanor is the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard!
