Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I'm going to adopt him!!!
DH called his ex-wife yesterday (see the saga downthread if you want background) and very gently broached the subject of me adopting DSS. She said YES!!! I'm floored, since she and I have never gotten along (understatement of the year) and she has repeatedly said that she would "never let that woman (me) adopt DSS".
It's the money. She can't keep up on CS, and she's finally seeing consequences for it. She was arrested last week and now has to work on the sheriff's work farm to pay it off. It sounds sad, but don't feel sorry for her. She won't keep a job for more than a few weeks at a time, and she flits from man to man, hoping to find someone that will pay her bills.
For those concerned about DSS's half-sister, we may be getting her for Spring Break! She said she would consider it, and I'm so hopeful that she'll be able to come and visit. We miss her so. It's been years since we've seen her.
