St. Pete

We have to take Alana up to All Childrens in a couple of weeks. Can you ladies recommend any good restaurants or other activities that we should do while there? We are just driving up for the day. Thanks!

Re: St. Pete

  • Moon Under Water is a british inspired restaurant in downtown St. Pete, just a few minutes away from All Childrens. It is one of my favorite places to eat with indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is super yummy! And kid friendly :)

  • Red Mesa Cantina is a few blocks away from All Children's and is super yummy. The Pier is a pretty place to walk - they have an "aquarium," too. Nothing spectacular, but something to do near the water. And Great Explorations (a children's museum) and the Sunken Gardens are fun, too.

The Moon Under Water is also the first thing that came to my mind!

I'll second Red Mesa Cantina! I got the El Gordo Burrito and it was the size of my head and soooo yummy!!!

  • This.  I think I am partial because they have a vegetarian shepherd's pie there (but I haven't been since I went vegan...) and the curries are fantastic!

ETA: Whoops, I meant to quote Surfbetty.

Moon Under Water gets my vote.  Embarrassed

  • There is a lot to do.  The peir, sunken gardens, dali, etc.  The lucky dill is good for some sandwiches.  And Taco Bus is great too.  But if you want a sit down place where you can relax, Red Mesa is yummy.
  • Taco Bus!! =) Yum! I forgot they opened a new one there.

    I third Red Mesa Cantina.

  • I love the food at Moon Under Water, but I've had some of the worst and slowest service of my life there, and I've heard the same from others. I don't know if my daughter would be patient enough to handle it, but it is definitely in a pretty location with a yummy menu.
  • Thanks for all of your recommendations. Hopefully having a little fun will make this trip a little more enjoyable!
