Friday Happy Dance Randoms
Re: Friday Happy Dance Randoms
Yay, Friday!
So, one of my friends is in Kauai right now. She's been updating on FB. They've spent the night in their car at an evacuation center.
That's really scary. Are they living there or vacationing?
I just got up and heard about the earthquake. Wow. Kasa: I hope your friend stays safe.
Chicken's were tossed last night. I'm still in a bit of awe of how many people showed up in the cold and wind to do this. A lot of families too. It was fun too see all these people waiting to throw a rubber chicken.
Vacation. I'm stalking her FB page, waiting for her next update.
Oh man. That's an awful way to spend a vacation. I hope they stay safe and make it back home without incident.
Hey everyone, it's a slow Friday morning so I finally get some nesting time! I just heard about the quake and craziness going on and we've been watching CNN. So much for productivity. Kasa-that's got to be scary for your friend. I hope she's okay.
So this chicken tossing...I haven't been on in awhile. What was that for?
The chicken Toss was for the kick off of Laughfest. We were trying to set a Guinness World record for the most rubber chicken tossed. We had to beat 265 I think it was, and we dominated by throwing 925 chickens.
Anybody been wanting to try 25 Kitchen? Hop in deals has a great offer today of $20 for $10.

That's a pretty substantial throwing of rubber chickens, nice job. I'll bet that was hilarious to watch.
25 Kitchen's been on my "to try" list for awhile now...might have to pick up that deal!
I'm reading an article about the tsunami waves in Hawaii and it includes this:
"A tweet from the Pacific Fleet said a surge of more than 1.5 feet was detected at Pearl Harbor. No damage was reported."
I think it's kind of funny that the U.S. Navy is reporting such information (in part) via Twitter.
Yikes, no fun. Good luck!
My cousin and her husband are in Osaka; they thankfully only felt a 2.5 quake there and are otherwise fine.
GVSU I hope everyone is healthy soon!!

So it took a few extra days, but the insurance company totaled my car.
So we have no working vehicle at all. Anybody know a good price on a rental while we get our G20 up and work?
Enterprise is pretty good. Do you have coverage under your auto insurance policy to pay for a car rental?
Having a blah day, and then I get this email:
Just a reminder that I will be cleaning out the FRIG today at 4. Please come and take anything you would like to keep.
Thanks,
XXX
The subject line is FRIG.
It literally made me laugh out loud. Guess it doesn't take much today. FRIG!
I frig'n love this.
Mike was supposed to go to Tokyo tomorrow for 2 weeks for work. The trip has been delayed of course. Thankfully all his Japanese team members are safe. So so glad they didn't go earlier as they had discussed.
So instead of packing for his trip we had breakfast at Wolfgangs and later walked into EGR for an early dinner at Rose's. H fell asleep in the stroller and we were able to have a drink and dinner before he woke up. Perfect timing.
Wow! Talk about cutting it close. Glad to hear that your DH's team is safe. Oh, and perfect timing for a nap, awesome.
