Re: The Friday Five
1. What is your earliest memory? I mentioned in Michelle's post yesterday - my brother cracked his eye open on the coffee table and needed stitches. My mother was pregnant with me at the time.
2. What is your most vivid memory? Eep...good question. Probably a dream I had when I was little - a hawk was trying to take my family. It was a messed up dream and probably the biggest nightmare I've ever had. haha
3. What do you remember best about the year you turned 10? OJ Simpson was found not guilty, The Oklahoma City Bombing, and Selena was murdered.
4. What memory do you wish you could erase forever? I don't want to talk about it.
5. What do your parents(or other close relatives) remember about you that you have forgotten? Everyone says my memory is ridiculous and that I remember the most ridiculous things...so, I don't really know.
Oooh this is a good one. I often wonder if our earliest memories are actually memories, or just stories our parents told us over and over again, so we believe they are memories. Anyone else wonder that, or just me?!
1. What is your earliest memory? Oh my gosh...probably driving in the car with my mom and grandma, I had a snowsuit on. I was about 3 yrs old.
2. What is your most vivid memory? Wow, I have a lot....I don't think I could ever narrow it down to just one!
3. What do you remember best about the year you turned 10? Hmmm, just how life was at that time. I had a lot of cousins around, we always hung out, big holiday dinners were always at my grandparents house...it was a great time!
4. What memory do you wish you could erase forever? I can't really think of any!
5. What do your parents(or other close relatives) remember about you that you have forgotten? Nothing that I know of!

1. What is your earliest memory? I was 3 years old going up north to a family friend's graduation party. I can remember there was an old gas pump in the middle of a back field they used for tractors, running around with 2 older kids and I had a sesame street sticker book with me.
2. What is your most vivid memory? That, or when I was about 4 or 5 we went to visit my mom's friend (again up north somewhere) for a party/ baby shower. They had a huge pool that everyone was in and I tried to jump in and I remember someone grabing me and telling me no. They had a little kid pool off to the side just for me.
3. What do you remember best about the year you turned 10? It was the first year I was able to have a friend over to celebrate.
4. What memory do you wish you could erase forever? My whole 6th grade year. I was teased like you wouldn't belive, and because of it, I did terrible in school and just never wanted to wake up and go in the mornings.
5. What do your parents(or other close relatives) remember about you that you have forgotten? A lot from when I was very young. I could tell you what I wore the day my brother was born, what I ate at a drive in, and a ton of other things, but dont ask me what I did last week or last month! lol
2. What is your most vivid memory? ~ I have lots of memories from when my sister was born. I was staying at my grandmother's house and I remember having to be taken there in the middle of the night and being totally confused. 3. What do you remember best about the year you turned 10?~ War in Kuwait, a really bad 5th grade teacher.4. What memory do you wish you could erase forever? ~ Any of my dad's insulin reactions.
5. What do your parents(or other close relatives) remember about you that you have forgotten? ~ I was an attention seeking drama queen. If you talk to any of my aunts/uncles they will talk about how I was always putting on shows or demanding to be listened to
1. What is your earliest memory?
In the living room at my grandparent's old house. My mom was sitting in one of the side chairs, my great grandparents were sitting on the couch, my grandparents were sitting in the same spots they sat in for the 20 years they owned that house. I was on the floor, near my great grandparents, drinking out of a cup with primary colored polka dots.
2. What is your most vivid memory?
Idk, I have a really good long-term memory (short-term totally sucks, though) so I wouldn't even know where to start with this. All of my memories are pretty vivid.
3. What do you remember best about the year you turned 10?
I ran the school store, I was the president of two clubs, my best friend was named Bri, and I was obsessed with Limited Too. Oh, and I was a total biitch.
4. What memory do you wish you could erase forever?
My second dad abusing my mom.
5. What do your parents(or other close relatives) remember about you that you have forgotten?
Nothing that I know of...the rest of my family has horrible memories, so I usually remind them about stuff, not the other way around.
1. What is your earliest memory? What is your most vivid memory?
This is both my earliest and most vivid. My mom took me and my brother for a matinee showing of Star Wars. I was 23 mths. I was so confused b/c I thought movies were only shown at night and not during the day. I remember so many details. What theater it was. How we bumped into my cousins in the parking lot. I remember asking my mom what the words on the screen said at the very beginning. Several years ago I told her about this and she was shocked that I remembered so much.
3. What do you remember best about the year you turned 10? The first summer vacation I ever had with my family. My dad worked all the time and this was the 1st time he took a long vacation. We went to visit my grandparents in Portugal for 3 months. That whole summer has so many wonderful memories for me. I was exposed to so many exotic things that only fueled my desire to learn more. We took a road trip to Spain and took a day trip to Morrocco. We now joke that it was the original "National Lampoon European Vacation". Everything went wrong and we have so many funny stories about that trip.
4. What memory do you wish you could erase forever? None. Memories teach you and make you who you are.
5. What do your parents(or other close relatives) remember about you that you have forgotten? Apparently, I hated having my hands dirty and insisted on having them clean all the time.
