Earthquake/Tsunami craziness...

Is anyone else bummed about this? It's crazy how in Japan, so many went to sleep, and woke up to literally find that the world around them and under them had shifted - and with what is looking to be a massive loss of life. And then, the tsunamis. It is so freaky that they are expected to reach our coast.

As I'm sure some of you do also, I have friends and relatives on the West Coast, and a friend who lives in Hawaii, and I'm praying that everyone makes it out of this alright. In fact, one of my co-workers just returned from a business trip in Japan last week...wow...

Re: Earthquake/Tsunami craziness...

  • I have a friend living in Japan right now as well; her husband is a doctor in the military and that's where they're stationed right now.  I'm hoping she's ok - I'll send her a message in a little while.

As for everyone else I'm praying for safety and comfort in Japan and all the other coasts who are in potential danger of being hit by this tsunami.  I wish all this wicked weather and "acts of god" would stop!!!  :-(

  • So scary!! From what I understood from the news the military bases were ok. Also the various places on the West Coast seem to be good about getting things taken care of and warning people. They had been warning people all through the night so hopefully it doesn't hit but if it does hopefully they are prepared.
  • That's seriously scary...those poor people.  Things like this really put things into perspective don't they?

  • I have a coworker whos whole family lives in Japan. She was able to talk to her family around 2:30 this morning and everyone is ok (apparently they only had 3 feet of water).

  • We have friends in Okinawa. Thank God they are safe. Saw her post earlier this morning on Facebook and she lives on high grounds.
