My thoughts for Chicago :)
I really, really, really want to go to Lou Mitchell's for breakfast on Saturday. It's seriously the best breakfast I've ever had, and DH and I go there every time we're in Chicago (so 2-3 times/year). The only problem with this restaurant that I can see is that we'd have to be seated in groups of 2-4 since it's kind of a crazy busy place but SOOO worth it. I recommend going early (think 7-8am).
Other than that, I hadn't really thought about what I want to do, other than I would like to walk around the zoo (weather permitting) and do some shopping/window shopping/browsing.
I'd love to have a hotdog for lunch, so Portillo's might be a good, inexpensive option for that (YUM!!)
I'm kind of hoping I won't be able to drink, and a lot of what DH and I normally do in Chicago involves bars and beer! LOL We're also going back for our anniversary in September and are going to the Aquarium then, so I don't plan to on this trip.
Also, I think it would be FANTASTIC to go as a complete group to the Sears Tower. It would make for some cool pictures, I think.

I would also do some shopping but just something for me to bring back for my kids
What type of transportation are we thinking about for longer distances from the hotel? Public transit or cabs? I have never done cabs and am not sure about the expense. I do have experience using the public transit.

What about a ticket to Detroit on Thursday? It's cheaper to fly on Thursdays and Tuesdays. I could pick you up, you could stay with me Thursday night, and then you could get on my flight from Detroit which was less than $200 round trip on Southwest.
