If you could accomplish any physical feat...

What would it be?

For the last week or so I've been watching Regis and Kelly, and they've been tracking a guy who's running across the US... so it got me thinking.

  • For me it'd be an Ironman competition... but those seem so crazy!!!

  • Ironman would be cool. I am a eh swimmer though and I'm not sure I'd like the triathlon. But I would love an Ironman medal Stick out tongue

more realistically, but not going to happen in a million years, I'd like to try the half pipe (and not die).

  • Honestly and truly?

Climb Mount Everest.  I am obsessed with all things mountaineering.

  • Run a Marathon. Every year when we watch the Boston Marathon I am so impressed by the runners, their determination. I hate running, and I just don't think I could ever do it. I should try and train for it, I had a friend who was 40 lbs overweight, smoked, drank, a picture of unhealthiness, and he started training in September and ran it in April, and is now an avid Marathon runner. Amazing

Yes   I am following a few blogs for the climb this season.  They are just getting ready to make the trek to base camp in the next few weeks, it's so fascinating!

It's crazy how expensive it is just to climb though and that's not even considering all of the equipment needed!

  • I always wanted to run a marathon, but right now I'll do a half and then think about it.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an Olympic figure skater.  But I quit skating in HS when I was going to have to start going in to the rink a couple times a day and decided I wanted a different life.  My dance partner (he was 3 years younger) went on to compete on the national level before he got tired of it and also quit.  I was working on my axel and double jumps when I quit.  Now I'm lucky if I can do a half rotation jump. So I guess now I would like to start skating again and maybe land some single jumps! Something to do when I retire...

Yeah, I find that the activities I am interested in cost a lot of money.

  • Hands down run a marathon. My dad (an ex-marathon runner) and dh said they'd train with me and run with me... but I can't overcome mentally putting myself down, that I can't do it. I'd love to run on behalf of Komen, not sure how training for a 1/2 or full marathon and walking the 3-day would work...

But you can do it!! I've slowly started believing that I can run.  And while I'm only tackling the 1/2 in May, I think if I ultimately wanted to, I could make my way through a full marathon... and I think you could too! Hell woman! You WALK 60 miles.... what a measly 26?! Stick out tongue

I think it'd be fine for a half. Just swap your running miles for your walking miles if you're dually training. The only big concern I have is you'll need much more fuel.
