1) What's the one wedding/shower gift that you use the most? Hmm...Our dishes, we use them daily
2) What wedding/shower gift was your favorite? My LeCreuset items, I love the French Oven because its perfect for making Chili, Soup, or just about anything that requires a deeper pot...and its purple. I also love the honey pot, and the tea kettle - their items are just so beautiful and such great quality.
3) What items are on your "wish list" these days? It can be anything, just something(s) you'd love to have...There are several things on my "wish list" these days..., I'd love to have a Kindle, another item I'd love to have sometime before we have kids is a Digital SLR camera. This isn't really an "item" but I'd love to be able to get gel manicures bi-weekly but I just cant justify spending 80 bucks a month on that.
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why? I'd have the entire house professionally painted, H bought the house brand new which is great, but ALL the walls are all still an off white and it just doesnt feel "homey" - I dont trust my painting skills or I'd do it myself lol.
5) If you could have one day to do whatever you wanted, regardless of the cost, what would you do? (not including trips) I'd start the day with Starbucks, then spend the morning at the spa getting pampered, mani, pedi, massage, hair, and makeup...then I'd do lunch and shopping with my best girlfriend - after that, dinner (and dessert) and a night out with H in the city...since $ is no object we'd end the night in a nice hotel downtown.

Yeah, probably the same. Although my grandparents gave us a slow cooker and I love that thing to death.

*sigh* New living room furniture, new curtains...anything for our new place.
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why?
I'd love to go up to a queen-sized bed. Ours is so small!

Start off with the same breakfast we had on our honeymoon in Montreal, then go get a massage, hang out with some of my girlfriends shopping and lunch, head to Newport RI to walk the Cliffwalk with H, then go out for dinner with H at the Black Rose in Boston, followed by a Red Sox-Yankees game (the Sox win, of course!) and then spend the night back in Newport at a B&B with a jacuzzi.

2) What wedding/shower gift was your favorite? Mine's sentimental: My SIL bought this sign that she knew I wanted off of etsy.com. It's wood & painted really pretty with "The Spillmans est 2010." I love it because we started dating, got engaged and then married all in 2010, so we really were established in 2010.

New clothes for spring! And an iPhone

New couches! We are using mine and the fabric holds on to dog hair like crazy. And a new tv stand/entertainment center for our new tv.

I'd reserve us a room at a very nice hotel, have a spa day, eat at a great steak restaurant, and follow it up with a fun show.

Well tomorrow we go buy a flat screen - But I would love to get the concrete poured for the garden design I'm working on. Or a mid-century modern front door.

Size. It's a small place, so I guess short of that I'd love to finish the basement off.
5) If you could have one day to do whatever you wanted, regardless of the cost, what would you do? (not including trips)
Get up late, have brunch with Mom, then head to Anthropologie for some shopping with GF. Everything would fit of course. Then we'd head downtown for a late lunch and off to the the farmer's market. Bring home my stash and kickup my feet with a cold beer in the backyard with the pups while DH grills up a feast. Late we'll have a midnight bike ride down by the river.

2) What wedding/shower gift was your favorite? I love the picture frames DH's aunt picked out for us. They match our cake topper and will look amazing together once we get a cabinet to put everything in.
3) What items are on your "wish list" these days? It can be anything, just something(s) you'd love to have... A new bed or at least a new mattress. A nice, big, comfy chair and ottoman in the living room since we got rid of our sectional.
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why? Dining room table. I would love to get one in a darker color with chairs that aren't completely unstable like the ones we have now.

(not including trips) I'd probably start out the morning with a personal training session, follow that up with a nice massage. Then go out for a nice lunch with my sisters, followed by a White Sox game with DH. Then, head out to a nice hotel downtown for the night.
1) What's the one wedding/shower gift that you use the most? Silverware & plates. Before, we had mismatched handmedowns because I refused to purchase new stuff, in hopes we'd be registering for it. Now I have nice silverware (well, everyday flatware, but I call it silverware) and dishes that match, so I'm not embarrassed to have guests eat over now!
2) What wedding/shower gift was your favorite? My aunt painted a portrait of us. My chin looks a little fat, but I really love it. It hangs in the living room, on the same wall as the tv, and I love looking at it every day. It is just a sweet and personal gift that I'll cherish forever.
3) What items are on your "wish list" these days? It can be anything, just something(s) you'd love to have... My wishlist is long and makes me look greedy, lol. I'll just say, to finish our flooring redo, and have a few kitchen things checked off the to do list. Oh, and a pretty chair for the empty corner of the living room - I've been waiting to find just the perfect thing for the perfect price, and I'm still waiting. I'm in love with Pier 1's Provocative chair though.... just not the price. I'm too cheap to buy it.
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why? My carpet. This is very far down on the to do list, but it's almost white, and the thought of having kids play on this carpet pains me. I'm kind of OCD about spots and stains, and I don't want to be a nazi-mom about it.
5) If you could have one day to do whatever you wanted, regardless of the cost, what would you do? (not including trips) Oooooh good one! I'd spend the day going to antique stores, and actually buying things instead of complaining about the prices. I love antiques, but don't actually have many!

1) What's the one wedding/shower gift that you use the most?
New towels in our bathroom...because we use them several times a day!! Oh, and the new comforter on our bed.
2) What wedding/shower gift was your favorite?
Yeah, I think I might say those towels - they are super soft! Although I do love our appetizer plates which have really come in handy when having guests over. Oh, and our friend actually got us the shoe rack that was on our registry! Heck yes, that's a fave!
3) What items are on your "wish list" these days? It can be anything, just something(s) you'd love to have...
Oh yes I have several. The largest item is a DSLR camera. If any of you have one please recommend something for a beginner!! I'm in the researching phase and kinda just want to buy a used one off Craigslist and take a class on how to use the thing. Also on my list (another big item) is a new mac laptop. But DH said he'd buy that for me.
After that it might be a sewing machine...depending on how my first ever clothing-making project goes (using my friend's machine. I'm not crazy enough to do it by hand!)
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why?
Oh Lordy, our dishwasher. I've never owned a bigger piece of crap. It came with our home and ever since, we've cursed ourselves for not negotiating a better one (our house was new and we negotiated new washer/dryer). Seriously, we'd be better off not having one at all. Nothing gets cleaned in that thing! I mean, you already have to make sure the dishes are spotless going in; then it's just a sanitation device...maybe...?

Our dishwasher is the exact same way! I don't even use it anymore. I just hand wash them all and leave them on a drying rack. Biggest PITA to have a dishwasher and not be able to use it.
Bella, you don't seem to understand. Scarlett and I, we can't really even use the darn thing (I'd say it's used maybe twice a month). Like I said, dishes have to already be spotless going in, and most things we handwash because we know they won't get cleaned in that POS. I would much rather have the cabinet space under the counter than have that useless device taking up space. Ugh.
It is odd though that your H redid the entire kitchen AND doesn't like washing dishes and skipped on the DW.

it..the same woman also made homemade baby blankets when my kids were born
3) What items are on your "wish list" these days? It can be anything, just something(s) you'd love to have... new curtains for our room
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why? washer/dryer... mine is sooo small and always rocks and makes noise
5) If you could have one day to do whatever you wanted, regardless of the cost, what would you do? (not including trips) i would go straight to the salon, haricut, mani, pedi and brow wax..swing by a car dealer for the second car we soo desperately need and have a nice meal out
1) What's the one wedding/shower gift that you use the most? The herb chopper! I can't believe I didn't have one long ago. I use it all the time and it's so much more efficient than a nice. We also use our new dishes everyday.
2) What wedding/shower gift was your favorite? I especially like the set of glasses with citrus fruits on them, the blue Le Creuset tea kettle and my wedding saris.
3) What items are on your "wish list" these days? It can be anything, just something(s) you'd love to have... I already know I'm getting a new camera for my birthday tomorrow, and that was the main thing. There are a couple of books I'd like and new pillows and mattress will have to happen soon.
4) If you could have any one item in your home upgraded, what would it be and why? How about space? I would also like a washer/drier and hardwood floors.

i would say that our tv trays are our favorite - we use them frequently when we have guests over and utilize them for parties to place items out on. they're very convenient in our apartment!

the infiniti you curl from conair - i saw it for the first time today and MUST have it!!

i would say our dining room table - my husband would say our bed. i want a heftier dining room table that has picnic-style seating - my husband wants a bigger bed because my 5'3" frame takes up the majority of our queen-size.

i would redecorate our entire apartment and make it look like something out of a magazine.
