My cousin Meg: what happened to being a human being and having sympathy for mankind? those civilians had nothing to do with those attacks... and the whole "never forget" is bullshit... how about the saying an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind? how about the fact that many people who are suffering right now are american citizens over there? guess we all have our different perspectives
My Response: We dropped an ATOMIC BOMB on their country. I think we can let the resentment over Pearl Harbor die. I'm a bit taken back that you feel the way that you do.

Meg: your taxes are going to go up whether there was a natural disaster or not but honestly they are going to STAY up if we don't help... Japan is one of our leading trading partners. Which means if their economy is suffering our economy suffers... just the same. Not to mention they are one of our strongest allies... who not to mention have sent their own troops to Iraq to help us. Sure we have our own problems but they are the ones that are helping us in the long run.
but then again, we all have our own perspectives. Me: This isn't Haiti we're talking about (one of the poorest countries in the world) It's Japan. They should have enough money and resources and only need minimal aid if any.
Japan is a MAJOR ally of ours. We can't have their economy (that we'r...e dependant on, crumble).
BTW Billy - The bombing of Pearl Harbor DID NOT START WWII. The war was going on for a good amount of time before the Pearl Harbor Bombing. Please know your history before you start quoting it. Well, my cousin is 28ish so I would assume his friend Tim is close in age.
I think my uncle laid the smack down though. The posts have been deleted. Jen (the sister) posted that she needed help moving. Everyone who could help (myself included) asked where she was moving to.
My cousin Billy responded on her behalf and then his dad replied with

And then suddenly "poof" all the other posts were deleted.
I think his dad dropped the hammer on him. LOL. I love when parents can put the fear of god in you at 28 years old. Our 80 year old grandmom is on facebook, I was praying she'd chime in (she always does when we bicker). That would have been awesome.
