So I'm not as young or thin as I once was and I can't wear the jeans I really used to love when I was in my 20's (from PacSun). I've been getting jeans at Target, but I really want to get something a little nicer. I have wide hips and a tummy so , need something that won't give me a muffin top. I love flare leg. Any suggestions? What are your favorite brand jeans?
Re: Jeans
The greatest jeans I ever had were my ultra-lowrise Wranglers (the "Megan" style, of all thing!). They still exist with several rips in them but I can't stop wearing them. Every stage of their jean life has been glorious, from dark and new to old, worn&torn.
Second runner-up are my super-pricey but totally worth it Citizens of Humanity jeans.
I second the Lane Bryant jeans (a little pricey but they last), but you need to be at least a size 14 to fit into them...
Some of the Lee jeans at Kohl's were great for me-- before I gained all this weight and can't fit into them anymore...
how about pajama jeans?! jk.
i'm a gap girl. mostly b/c i know what works and don't need to try on a gazillion. i hate pants shopping.
I like Gap Long and Lean as well.
I am also a Lane Bryant girl. Actually I am wearing a pair now. They are super comfy, and come in tall.
When I lose a little more weight, I also love Gap's Long and Lean.
I've always had a big butt and now I have a little belly...
I have short legs so the Gap long and lean are too long on me but I love the curvy jeans...I'm wearing them now!
I also like JCrew jeans.

I LOATHE buying jeans. Even when I am skinny. They just make jeans so weird these days its hard to find them that are too stretchy or don't have weird worn out dye spots on them. Uh, I hate it.
That said, I like the Gap. Probably cause I go to the outlet and they are cheap. I am short so I have to do the low cut version. I can't do anything normal or high cut at all. But you seem taller, so I guess i'm no help
Ok, hate me. But seriously...
I bought my jeans at Walmart. I think they are Levis. Maybe Lee. They aren't high rise mom jeans, but not low hip huggers either. They have stretch to them and are designed to help hide the "fanny pack" (my sister's words) area. I love the fit and they are the only ones that don't give me muffin top while still fitting well everywhere else.
Best part: I'm pretty sure they were less than $20.
This!
My most recent pair were $12 - they are comfortable and don't give me a crack when I squat down or sit on the rug at work. They have the perfect waist.
Gap...Long n Lean. I've got hips/tummy/curves going on and am petite. I love these jeans. Not the cheapest option but they last a long time.
I second these. And Seven for all Mankind. But those were two brands that I wore when I was younger and thinner. I still have a pair of each that I refuse to get rid of. I insist that I will fit in them again some day.
Now that I am older and fatter, I really like the Levi's Perfectly Slimming 512 Jeans.
