Congratulations on your pregnancy!! That is awesome! I know how horribly scared you must feel! I know after my etopic I was a mess. I don't even think I enjoyed my pregnancy at first, I was worried about every single pain or twinge. I was told after my etopic b/c I lost both my left ovary and tube that I probably would not get pregnant ever again, imagine my surprise to have not only 1, but 2 babies! Again, congratulations and keep us posted!

  • Thank you!  My ectopic was in the csection scar tissue from when I had Sloane.  Fortunately, I didn't have to have any reproductive organs removed.  In December, we were given the all clear and that everything looked "normal".  lol  I must admit, I am questioning alot but I am trying not to worry too much.  For example:  about 2 weeks ago my hips were really achy.  Made me think.  Now, duh, my hips were just "getting ready".  haha  We have seen baby 4 times already and each time, the lab tech is giddy (she was the one who found the pregnancy from last summer).  She is just as curious as we are!  Everything looks good.  The PA thinks they might categorize me at high risk just in case but really up my doc to decide.  They deliver at St. Lukes (which is what we want, it is 4 minutes door to door to our house) or St. V's.  I have no experience with St. V's.  Sloane was born at Toledo and I wasn't overally excited with them which is why I switched practices.  We will see.  Thanks for the happy thoughts.  We are extremely excited ourselves!
  • I delivered at St. Lukes for the last two pregnancies. I have delivered at St. V's & also Toledo Hospital. St. Lukes was by far my favorite! I really loved the nurses and staff there! The hospital wasn't overly crowded and noisy with visitors all hours of the day. I even changed my pediatrician to a doctor that did rounds there (b/c my former ped didn't come to that hospital). I loved him and the nurses all told me that many of the nurses use this doctor for their own children. I at the time lived in Whitehouse so I know the convenience of having the hospital that close!

ETA: one of the nicest thing St. Lukes does is on your final night there they set up a table w/ tablecloth and you get a nice dinner. Steak, baked potato etc. I think my dh had some kind of lobster bites. It was delicious! Very nice. They take the baby while you and dh eat.
