Iphone cost question.

My FI and I are considering get Iphones. Who's your carrier? What plan do you have? Is it worth it? Likes? Dislikes?

I have a Blackberry now and absolutely hate it.

My FI and I are considering get Iphones. Who's your carrier? AT&TWhat plan do you have? 700 min family share. Is it worth it? For us yes. Im actually on it right now in miami airport. Likes?I can talk and surf the web, I use it as my sole computer on vacation (check email FB and so on) Dislikes? Can't do adobe flash. Other than that, It's slow but that's AT&T not the phone and AT&T is finally starting to roll out 4g service.

I have a Blackberry now and absolutely hate it.

  • I'm Canada so I can't help with the carrier question but I did just switch to an iphone from a Blackberry and I absolutely, positively LOVE it. My BB Curve seems almost archhaic now. I got a secondhand iphone 3g and I love just as much as my husband's brand new iphone 4 and it works just as well.
  • Hmm I've heard At&T was slow. Maybe Verizon will have a promotion soon?

  • I used to work for apple and I've had an iPhone for the last 3 years. I use AT&T and they are definitely the faster choice in terms of data speed (which is a huge deal for me). I do experience dropped calls sometimes, but for me the data speed is worth that trade off.

With Verizon you should experience better call reliability, but the data speeds are significantly slower.

  • I prefer the iPhone over the Blackberry for many reasons. I like the e-mail, the internet, and the various apps. It is much faster than the Blackberry. I have AT&T. The 3G can be slow. The internet is really fast if you connect to wireless; and, there is pretty much wireless everywhere these days.

  • I just got the Verizon iPhone (my first smart phone) and I love it.  I have 450 minutes, 250 text, and unlimited data, which is perfect for me (I hardly ever talk on the phone during the week and I text infrequently).  I'm a commuter, so I love having an iPod and phone in one device.  It's taking me a while to get used to typing on a touch screen, but I'm getting better.  If you like Apple products, I say go for it!
