I am sick for the first time this winter. I had a job interview yesterday morning 3 hours away from where I live. My parents house was the halfway point, so Thursday night I went to their place to cut down the driving before the interview. My little brother (who is still at home) had a wicked cold. I was only around him for like 30 minutes....and of COURSE I caught it. Luckily, I felt fine yesterday and the interview went well (almost 2 hours!).
Unfortunately, I feel like DEATH right now and my nose won't stop running. I have another interview at another school on Tuesday (which is in the PERFECT place.) I'm hoping I feel better by than. I've been downing OJ and hot tea for hours.
UGH.
Re: I HATE being sick.
Feel better! That stinks you caught the sickness from your brother, although I find that once I get sick once, it's easy for me to get sick over and over.
I am right there with you!! I had an "upper respiratory infection" for the last half of our belated honeymoon in January, and then for about a week after that. Last weekend I had that feeling like I was getting sick... and it was getting worse and worse. I made it through my very first lecture on Wednesday, and went home and crashed. And have gotten worse and worse! I went to the doctor earlier and got drugs for a sinus infection. Instead of spending all day studying for my next lectures on Monday, I slept. And instead of going to see one of my favorite bands tonight with DH, I am home, studying (and watching bad TV shows on hulu).
Hope you feel better soon! I am hoping the z-pak will kick in within 24 hours like it usually does.
