Honeymoon - things to do in San Francisco
Hi everyone! I'm new to The Nest boards, so I want to say hi.
My husband and I live in Miami and we'll be honeymooning in Napa/Sonoma and would like to spend a day or two in San Francisco. Can you give any tips for must-have things to do and see? We are big on food and wine, so do you have any restaurants to recommend? I also love museums and bakeries. And, of course, there have to be at least a few touristy things we should do.
Thanks for your help!
Ashley

Restaurants I've liked: Fleur de Lys (fancy), Chouchou (great for a date), Foreign Cinema (I had a fabulous brunch here but I hear dinner is amazing too), Absinthe (didn't LOVE this place but I know others who have, and I think my main issue was that I don't eat meat), Millennium (a very fancy vegetarian place that even meat eaters I've taken there enjoy), and Zazie.
I've also eaten at Out the Door, which is a quicker/cheaper version of Slanted Door, which everyone loves. I've heard good things about Aziza too, though I wasn't that impressed when my husband's company held a holiday party there a couple of years ago. Again, could've been a meat issue.
As for bakeries, Tartine is a must when you're in SF. If you like cupcakes, I'm a fan of Kara's.
ETA: Maybe check out the Cal Academy of Sciences. It just recently got renovated and reopened, and has really really cool stuff.
When you're in Napa check out Artesa (an amazing winery both for the grounds and for the wine) and Celadon (my new favorite restaurant). Also, on the same street but the other side of town as Celadon is a great cupcake bakery called Sift.
As for San Francisco, there is an area that as the California Science Academy, the DeYoung (which is an art museum), and the Japanese Tea Garden. You can spend an entire day there and never have to leave. And on Thursdays the Science Academy basically turns into a bar/club at night.

Spend some lazy time in Golden Gate Park. The DeYoung is there, a large conservatory, the international gardens were really fun. If the weather's warm enough, it's a nice place to lounge around and soak up the son.
If you're into shopping, Union Square is fun. Fun place to stay too (you can get some good Priceline deals in Union Square).
