Re: Weekly Weight Loss Check In

  • After the horrible week I've had at work and outside of work I was thrilled to see that I lost 3lbs this week - thank you weight watchers.

I cant wait to watch the scale slowly get lower and lower :)  I'm hoping for 7.2 more lbs by the end of april.  Then another 5lbs by August - I realize 1-2 lbs a week is more reasonable so I'm not counting on 3lbs each week - just happy that i'm losing, not gaining :)

  • Do you think Weight Watchers is worth it? I'm thinking that I might join the online one.

This week was pretty good for me. I haven't really exercised as much as I was hoping to, but I did get a really good workout in Monday night. My sister and I just made plans to run a marathon in September together, so we're going to start training tomorrow. I'm psyched to have her doing the training with me. It helps.

    This week: Lost 3
    Total Loss: 4 lbs
    Still to Lose: 36lbs

  • .5 down for me, 21.5 to go, 3.5 down. Still in the righ direction so I'll take it. I had a lot of candy though that is mocking me now. Grrr to the reese PB eggs.

I found these awesome Indian lunches - SWAD Micro Curry.  Little pouch, pretty low in calories a serving (100-150) and totally tasty. I just made a batch of rice, divided it up for the week and used these for lunches. I love indian food but DH hates it, so this totally feeds my cravings.

Did get a workout in and plan to keep increasing as I can.

  • I'm down another .6 pounds (and I was really good about eating and exercising), so I have another 18.4 to go!  Total weight loss is 1.6 pounds.

I def think its worth it - I love that anytime I'm wondering how many points are in any given item I can just use the online calclulator, or look it up.  Its really opened my eyes to how good, and bad some things really are.  The weekly points allowance makes it so you can splurge here and there without going overboard, and that alone makes it a program I could see myself on for the long run.  I never feel "deprived" because if I want Pizza, I can have it, etc.

    I highly recommend it!!

  • On one of the other boards, everyone raves about this website:

I've made a few dishes, and they've been pretty good.  She also lists the WW points+ for each dish.  Just thought I'd share.

  • We got out Sunday and went walking with the dogs.  Other than that I've been working night shifts all week, so today is my first day off.  I'm off for 5 days and plan to take advantage of our pretty weather and get out and be active!  I weighed in this morning and lost 0.5 lbs from last Friday's weight, which is good because last Sunday I was up 3 lbs (thanks to my period.)

I'm thinking of doing the online Weight Watchers too.  I've done WW before on my own (my aunt gave me all of the materials from when she did it.)  My schedule is crazy, so going for weigh ins and meetings won't work for me.  But the online program seems like it would be beneficial!

  • We were on the cruise, so I didn't get a chance to weigh myself.  I don't even think I want to lol...

H and I are looking into joining weight watchers this week. We may also look into Slim Genics, which is similar to weight watchers.  H wants to lose 80+ lbs, and I still need to lose 25+.
