Re: Vegas trip and reviews

  • How was Paris?  We are staying there in June...we splurged on one of the Red rooms, so I hope it's good!
  • We loved it!  We got a regular room and it was huge.  I heard the red rooms are awesome!  It's right in the middle of the strip so it's a great location.  Do you have a strip view?  If so, you can probably see the Bellagio fountain from your room.  Last time we were in Vegas, we went up the eiffel tower at night.  I would definitely do that so you can see all the lights.

  • Honestly, I have no idea, except that the red rooms are on the upper levels.  I've never been, so I'm pretty excited no matter what the view is!  Sounds like you had a great time too.
  • Thanks for the review. I'm going to Las Vegas next weekend. I can't wait.

  • We were in Vegas at the same time! :) Well, at least an overlap of a couple days! We were out there from Monday-Thursday.

    Funny!  Where did you stay?

  • I just found out my aunt and uncle bought a house near Havasu.  They usually fly into Vegas and then drive over so I see a possible trip out there in out future since we'd have a free place to stay for at least a couple of nights and could hit up Vegas in the same trip.  Hmmm.  So many places to go to it's hard to decide! :-)

My grandparents have lived in Havasu for YEARS, and it's much easier to fly into Laughlin, FWIW. You can also gamble there, it's like a mini-vegas. It's cheaper (Sun Country goes there), and a shorter drive to Havasu.

I go to Vegas two weeks from today!

  • Vegas is super fun.  I've stayed @ the Bellagio & Flamingo.  Ate the buffet at Planet Hollywood (BEST EVER) & Ceasers (WORST EVER).  Everyone should experience Vegas...it's not just all about gambling!!!!

  • Have any of you stayed at the Mirage?  We have a room there for our trip in April...just curious if we should be canceling that and looking elsewhere.  I wouldn't mind trying the Aria but the Mirage was about $50 cheaper a night when I booked.

We stayed at the Flamingo.  We went with my parents and aunt/uncle though--so we weren't out clubbing it or anything! :)

We stayed at the Mirage a couple of years ago and loved it.  They were in the process of renovating their rooms at the time and we got a newly renovated one, which was awesome.  I thought it was in a great location and it was by my favorite casino :)
