Boots for wide calves?

Someone posted a link to a site that sold these. I got a really cute pair of boots online and can't get them over my calves  :-/  Ideas for where to find a replacement?

Re: Boots for wide calves?

  • I bought a pair of Annie boots from Endless last year and they fit over my GIANT calves (I say that with sarcasm...they aren't that big, but apparently I have to get wide calf boots!). They're really reasonable (but not real leather, if you are looking for that)

  • Can I b!tch for a second though? My calves aren't abnormally huge (those of you who've met me in person can argue to the contrary if you wish), and all the reviews I saw of the boots I bought actually said they run wide around the calves and there was plenty of room to tuck in jeans. The measurement listed for the calf area is supposedly 2 inches more than what my calves measure (I checked).

So why the hell can't I fit them over my apparently ginormous calves??  Crying  I love these boots, stared at them for months and finally got the money together to buy them... then they don't fit AND make me feel fat. Boo.

  • Here's the site that's been suggested before http://www.duoboots.com/
  • check out eddiebauer.com ... they've got wide calf boots and super easy returns/exchanges.

I've never met you in person (which must be rectified) but I can't imagine your calves are huge. You're definitely not fat. Boots are funky with fit. It's too bad the measurement chart was off. Are they returnable? If so, I would try to get a refund if the chart was inaccurate. Anyway, GL!
  • Thanks for the suggestions ladies!
  • The Avenue sells boots. I have a pair from there that fit my big calves!
