A lot of us said we would pick a different dress now than we did back then. PIP what you would pick if you could redo that decision.
Same budget or similar so we don't all go off the deep end and start PIPing Vera Wangs and Monique Lhuilliers.
Re: s/o QOTD - Dress
i wish i could remember the name of the dress i really, really wanted. it was $1100, which was out of my price range then, but in the end with alterations I ended up spending $950 so it really wasn't....
I'll see if it's still in my wedding planner at home since my old knot bio is gone.
I love this. And it becomes this for a little reception surprise:
Or really anything else. Sigh. I hated my dress.
I tried on wedding dresses at my highest weight and just got so disgusted that I just bought a cheapo, plain, blah dress out of frustration. Then I was stuck with that dress even after I lost a bunch of weight. I tried to look for a new dress in the last month, but I just couldn't justify it since we were pissing money away by then as it was.
I wish I had lost the weight sooner and THEN looked for a dress.
This is ridiculous, but I love it:
But I probably would've gone with more of a mermaid gown:
This was my runner up. It's by Essence of Australia. I really loved it and it was only a few hundred more. If I were doing a beach wedding I probably would have gone with it. I just didn't think it looked "wedding dress" enough. But I loved it and had off and on regret for not picking it.
I know! I feel like I should think it's kind of tacky... but I love it. lol
Its too cute to be tacky.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

It's very cool. I don't think I've ever seen a dress like that. ....and it's actually pretty both ways!
I loved my dress but it's just nice to not be limited to one dress because there are soooo many to choose from and I'd love to have an occassion to wear that kind of dress again.
Mine was a Maggie Sottero so I'll stick to just her designs. Here are some I really like now (I can't seem to pip for some reason from her site):

LB, that dress is awesome!! Though, fresh out of my bridesmaid role, all I can hear is someone saying "you can totally shorten it and wear it again!!" ... except here, it's TRUE. haha
Madisen, I love those dresses! Though I'm not sure how I feel about the butt-veil on the last one. lol
I loved my dress... if I got a different one, it would be very similar, I think.
I loved my dress, but I did go in David's Bridal the other day to pick up a BM dress and saw this and thought DAMN, I want to redo my wedding! They had it styled with a black belt with a jeweled thing in the middle, this picture doesn't do it justice:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_VW351007-VW351007_Bridal-Gowns-Features-All-GownsPretty! I wore Maggie too. All this wedding talk is getting me in planning mode. I want my sis to get married so I can work on another one. haha
dollfinn, that dress is gorgeous!
I really liked mine. I thought of something more mermaidy, but sadly they all looked like doo on me. I guess I'm too short for that.
I loved my dress, so I wouldnt change it, but I'll show you what I want for my hypothetical next wedding.
Have yall see the wedding shop that anthropology put together? Amazing.
Whoa, PIP size is huge. I changed them in photobucket, it will take a while for the nest to catch up.
I'm having PIP issues, but I wish I had gone with something like this
My wedding was outdoors and I felt like my dress didn't really match that.
I tried that on and almost went with it, it was so comfortable!
I liked my dress and I loved the 2 tone colors but I'd like to try something totally different if I was going to do it again.
