How was your weekend?

Anything exciting happen this weekend?

Friday night we went to dinner with some people from the bank I worked at and Saturday I worked early in the day and DH took Ella to his grandparents house so after work I went out and spent the evening with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. Yesterday was nice we just hung out at home and watched a couple of movies and started packing Ella's stuff for the trip this week. She has a full suitcase, luckily we are flying Southwest so we get free checked bags.

  • i worked all weekend, so that was my "excitement" (lol)

  • Friday we went over to our friends' house and just hung out. Nice & relaxing. :)

Saturday I had a fundraiser meeting in the morning, ran some errands, cleaned up the house, went shopping with BFF, went to our niece's 4th birthday party, went out to dinner with friends at Texas Roadhouse and then went back to our place and hung out drinking & playing games until way too late (esp. with the time change!)

Yesterday I took pictures of my friend's newborn in the AM and another friends' 6mo. old in the afternoon, and watched some basketball & did some volunteer stuff in there too.

  • We didn't have anything planned, so some relaxing actually happened.  It was awesome!  We went to the zoo on Saturday (windy, but not busy and all of the animals were active) out to Max & Erma's that night.  Apparently some school was having a dance and Max and Erma's was the place to eat dinner.  I could have smacked some of the kids they were sooooo rude to the wait staff, hosts, and managers.  (Not all, there were some polite well mannered kids too).

A few weeks ago one of my SIL gave us her dog that she "couldn't take care of" (chose not to take care of) and she came over yesterday and kept telling us how thin the dog was (she has gained 2 pounds since we have had her) and calling the dog by her old name.  I wanted to smack her.

    But overall a good weekend!

  • Friday we had a lot of errands to do, so we did those and visited my mom and Joshs parents took us to dinner.

Saturday we went to the zoo with N8 and his mommy and daddy, then we had lunch and came home for a nap. After that we just hung about and then went to have a snack.

Sunday I went to church in the morning, got home just after Monk went down for a nap. DH made us egg drop soup, then we had to make a run to BB&B for some soda mix for our sodastream, and my sister had a Mary Kay party at moms house and Monk and I were there for the partay (I am having a party too....how I get talked into these things is beyond me) and DH went to visit with his grandfather to help him with a computer issue, went to get some food, and then came back to get me and J2.

It seems like a pretty low key weekend but I felt like we did a lot!

  • H1 went to a sleepover (eek!), I got a haircut (yay!), spoiled H2 a little and let him stay up late.  He thanked us by drawing on his walls and all over himself with black marker (wow!).

Kids were with their dad Saturday night so we had a nice date night at Blue Pacific (so busy!) and saw the Battle: Los Angeles movie.  I was in a mood to see stuff blown up, we liked it lol.

Sunday we slept/lounged until noon, cleaned some, picked up the kids and got ready for a new week.

  • Pretty uneventful like most weekends these days.

Friday we did absolutely nothing (at least not that I can recall).

Saturday I had my shopping excursion with the end result being the new camera.

Sunday DH and I went to the Home and Garden Show.  Got some ideas on things, got one estimate scheduled (for our bathroom) and will be getting some other estimates done (the kitchen and straightening up the cement driveway), saw a former friend/co-worker that I had not seen in years.  We thought about going to see a movie last night (Battle Los Angeles) but ended up staying home and watching more of my nip/tuck dvds instead.

  • I was actually up in T-town this weekend.  We drove out to Wauseon to see my train-wreck of a mom who could barely even function enough to see her newest grandson for the first time.  Then we hung around Maumee at with my family through Sunday.  DH and B took Alex to the train/toy show and I went shopping with my SIL and Cameron to Micheals in Pburg.  We literally walked in the door of TJMaxx when my B called and we had more visitors so we had to leave.  I was bummed b/c that looked like a great TJMaxx.  It was a good weekend, one of those that makes me miss being up near my family so much.

  • Ours was very busy.  We left Friday morning for London, Ontario to go to a curling tournament called The Brier, basically Canadian nationals and the biggest and most storied event of the sport.  We went to 5 draws (games) and got back Monday morning at 4 am.  Busy, but Matt was totally excited because it's only in Ontario every 4 years or so and it was really nice to have a weekend away.
