Did not happen last night. My little man was hurting bad with his teeth and only wanted his Mom. DH tried to console him, but he only wanted Mamma. Which means I was up and then driving the beaches until 3 am. Finally, after 45 minutes of driving he closed his eyes and I could go home and sneak him up the 3 stories to his bed and crawl into bed myself.
Of course I couldn't fall asleep right away, the little guy in my stomach took it as his turn to be wide awake and kicking, so when my alarm went off at 5:30, I wanted to cry.
I wanted to call in, but I already have the day off tomorrow to move my MIL. Just get me through the day... God help me when I have two.
Even better, I walked into work, talked to a whole bunch of people before someone pulled me aside and said, you know your breakfast is all over you. I looked down and I had blueberry muffin literally all over myself. Nice.
Re: Sleep...
DH left for a couple days on the road bright and early this morning. Since I still have a hard time waking up to my alarm, I was waking up all night long because I was paranoid about over sleeping. It felt like the most unproductive sleeping night ever.
Then DH texted me before he got on his plane so my phone went off just so he could make sure I was awake. How he puts up with me after my mental breakdown/meltdown on Saturday, I'll never know.
A mom I nanny'ed for way back when did the driving thing with her 9 month old. She'd take him out in the Jeep in the summer, get him to fall asleep, and then park under a tree in her yard to keep him out of the sun. We lived in the country, so he was fine and we heard him cry when he'd wake up or I'd be there watching him sleep.
That being said, with the price of gas lately, I don't think I'd be doing the driving thing. LOL! Try one of those sound things that they use in Doctor's offices to create some white noise for him to fall asleep to. Or use a sound wave app on your phone.
