Help with Vow Renewal Party (not mine) (a couple of PIP)

Eeva would most likely be particularly helpful here...Smile

Some of you may remember my asking for T&P for my best friend Beth, who thought she had cancer.  Well, after a whole lot of nasty tests, and some very scary moments, they found another cause for all her symptoms, and she has been assured that she is cancer free!

You may ask what this has to do with a vow renewal...well, I'll tell you.  Beth and her husband had a very simple, small ceremony when they got married, and things have been a bit rocky for them.  He was kind of shocked into his senses when he faced the thought of losing her, and, long story short, they want to have a vow renewal in June.  I've been asked to help plan it.  They have a super cute little country farm house with an acre or two of land where they plan on having the ceremony and reception.  She's wanting to do something vintage-y, with a country garden party type feel.  This was the picture I got for inspiration:

The tough part is, it has to be on a rather tight budget.  Does anyone have any sources for great vintage garden party stuff that won't break the bank?  I'd love the help!!

  • I just came across this post the other day, so I'm sharing it in case you can find some help/inspiration from it.  It has additional links within it that offer more information as well.  Sorry I can't offer more, I'm not familiar with Vintage styling.

  • This is a perfect time of year to start checking the Dollar Store for lanterns and other outdoor lights to hang from the tree.  You could also start collecting all types of glass jars, string them up with floral wire and stick candles in them.

  • I don't really have any great ideas.  But you might want to check out the Crafty Minx's wedding wednesday blogs, for more inspiration.  :-)

Dana is someone I've know since she was born (her mom and my mom are best friends) and she had an amazing wedding in September.

  • We used mason jars and tealights and hung them in the trees. We also used an eclectic mix-match of plates from thrift stores with different patterns. I love the inspiration picture! Very simple and pretty.
