anyone switch daycares before?

We are happy with our day care right now but there is another day care that can offer more to Allie so we want to switch. However I am very worried! The place we are at right now knows her, loves her and she is happy(and we are too).  How do you know you are making the choice?

Re: anyone switch daycares before?

  • We did!  We had such a hard time when we did it because we had the same problem as you: the place he had been was good!  In the end, the "pros" of moving him outweighed the "cons".  It has been a year since we did this and it was a great decision.  In the end, it was WAY harder on me than him.  He was 2 when we swtiched, by the way.

  • I switched from a daycare center to a home daycare when Domenic was 6 months old.  He started going to the daycare center at 3 months, so I had the same concerns as you.  I think that any time there are changes regarding your kids and their routine, etc you always question whether its a good choice or not, but there was SOMETHING that made you want to even consider changing, so in your heart you know its right.  Once you make the switch, and things go well, you know you made the right choice.  Its a change and thats always uncomfortable.  Good luck with your decision.
