apple and brown sugar corned beef recipe
so, i'd like to try this recipe on pam's site for thursday. i have two hesitations: brian's sort of a corned beef purist, will it be too sweet and fruity? also, he hates mustard and claims he can taste it in anything. is it noticeable? if so, will it ruin the whole meal if i omit it? thanks!
Re: apple and brown sugar corned beef recipe
i hate mustard generally but you can't taste it. josh doesn't love corned beef and isn't a purist but he really liked it. i used cider not apple juice and didn't use all the brown sugar to keep it more savory than sweet.
if i were you, i wouldn't risk it.
Yeah, it's def. sweet. I posted these two the other day on the blog. I'm making a different one entirely but that would probably be too sweet and has mustard!
