Thoughts on Preschools

My daughter will be three in July and since we're moving to Providence (this weekend!) I've been looking at preschools on the east side.  Do any of you ladies have any personal experience or thoughts or comments about Wheeler, Moses Brown, or Angell (Montessori)?

 Thanks :)

Re: Thoughts on Preschools

  • I don't know anything about those three, but I have heard nothing but great reviews of brown/fox point.  Two co workers send their kids there, and another woman I met at the playground has sent two of her sons and another one will start in the fall.  I think you have to be three to go, though.
  • I'm pretty sure you have to be 3 to go to any, but most said by September 1, which we'll hit that deadline for fall.  I've heard of that Fox Point school, too.

My oldest daughter is in nursery school at Wheeler and my middle daughter is in the toddler program at Angel Care Montessori.  She is going to Wheeler for nursery next September.

I agonized over which school to send them to, but they are all good.

Angel Care drives me crazy from an administrative stand point, but my daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES the school.  Miss Cheryl is amazing with the toddlers.
