We are homeowners!!!
As of Friday the house is signed over to us! I'm so happy about having a place to call mine.
Friday I had to go over and shovel the driveway (about 100ft from street to garage) because my mom and I were gonna be working on it Saturday morning. My arms are sooo sore. Then yesterday my mom and I spent 4 hours removing wallpaper glue. The wallpaper came off so easily, but the glue is a pain. It does come off easily, but lots of scrubbing is involved. It's going to be a long process, but I can't wait until the redesign is complete and the space looks like *ours*

Congrats! We close in two weeks actually! Are you planning on starting a blog for any renovations? A lot of the girls on the decor & reno boards have blogs, and it's fun to read them and find inspiration.

Yes we're glad that the whole buying process is done with, that is a major pain in a butt. We were saved some of the anxiety and frustration of negotiations because we bought it off DH's family. We're so thankful that they were just looking to be rid of the property and not trying to make any money off of it.
I probably won't be doing a redesign blog, just because so far I go straight to the house after work, then come home, make dinner, watch tv for an hour or two then go to bed and start all over. I will be taking pictures and maybe do something with them when we're done.
DH's mom has three sisters and a brother and all the families are going to be coming over April 9th to paint so that will be a huge help. MIL's brother does some contract work so he'll also be able to tell us if there's any other work that needs to be done that we may not have thought of.
