DR in 4 days!! woooo!! Anyone have a good packing list for an AI? We haven't traveled too much, and we packed WAY too much for the HM to Greece.
This weekend was ok. I made Compost Cookies on Saturday and omg they are amazing. They're sort of the ultimate stoner cookies (assuming you've made them ahead of time) which is fitting, as I brought them to my brother's birthday party on Saturday. Apparently we're getting too old for this sort of thing, as poor Derek mixed too many intoxicants and ended up over the toilet.
Yesterday was mostly spent chilling on the couch and reading. I finally finished The Omnivore's Dilemma (and flew through Food Rules).
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Good Morning!
Hi! I'm still at work, boo. Big pitch tomorrow so I'm taking a break from finalizing a presentation and waiting for some ad layouts to come to me.
This weekend was crazy... I'm singing more and more with this band here, I guess I'm pretty much a permanent fixture now. We performed Friday night from 9 til about 1am at an Irish pub, then Saturday all afternoon at a new bar that's opening. it's really fun, and I get free food and drinks plus some cash so I'm happy.
Saturday night there was a going away party for a guy I don't know that well but we went anyways because it was on a boat. People, it's $15 AN HOUR to rent a huge party boat here and you just bring your own booze. It was SO fun. I tried to hint to E that it would be an awesome surprise date if he rented a boat for a couple of hours. Not sure if he got the message.
Sunday I recovered and did work all day, then watched the England v Scotland rugby game at night with some crazy Scottish friends. Now back to work - big day tomorrow! Eek!
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
Morning ladies.
I had a busy weekend. I ended up leaving work early on Friday as my mother got into her first car accident at 66 years old. Mind you she hit a fire hydrent, and was pretty shook up. So, I did all the running around with her Friday, insurance, estimate, and rental set up.
Saturday I took the boys out shopping with my BFF. It was fun, and I got Zach some bigger clothes since he is such a chunk a monk.
Sunday, we went to church and dinner at my MIL's. That was actually great because we decided to all take a family trip. So BIL (his 2 boys), MIL, DH, the boys and myself are heading South to Disney the week of Thanksgiving. So now I am working extra hard on losing weight.
Have a great day everyone!
My dad is in town and DH and he ran this big 15k on Saturday. So Friday, I went to the race expo with them. Saturday, I got up bright and early (530) to go watch them run. It was actually more fun than I thought it would be. I am so proud of DH! He just set his mind to do this race and trained for it and did really well. My dad has been running since middle school, so of course he did great. We were all tired after that, so we just stayed home and watched Valkyrie on Netflix. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it! It was so good.
Sunday was DH's birthday. We went to church and Waffle House (his favorite). My mom and her gf and my dad and my sister and nephew all came over for cake and ice cream. It was a beautiful afternoon, so we spent the day sitting on our back porch talking.
I got sick this morning (ick) and was 45 minutes late to work, so I'm just waiting for this work day to be over so I can go home.
It's super quiet at work this week, since all the kids are on spring break. I'm so grateful today, since I have a pounding headache.
Friday we finally got to hang out with some friends we usually see all the time. The restaurant we went to wasn't all that great, but thankfully we had a gift card for it. Sidenote: If our gift card pays for 2/3 of the meal, you would think DH would be smart enough that the other couple would pay for the rest. Why he started tossing money on top of the gift card, I have no freakin idea. I hated being the bad guy to tell him to put his wallet away, but seriously. Sometimes I think he always has to be that guy.
Saturday and Sunday were painting and moving more furniture. I was so excited to finally have the new wall colors, but we couldn't even get to the walls. Our ceiling decided to start cracking when we touched up the edges, so we had to scrape the whole thing and paint that, along with the moldings in the room for a 4th coat. Oy. Hopefully tonight I can finally get to the walls and not have my arms fall off in the process.
I'm on the countdown clock with you, raynes! I so can't wait for Wednesday night to be here! I spent some time over the weekend preparing and finalising details for our trip, and DH left yesterday. I'll be meeting up with him in Melbourne at the end of the week. I went shopping yesterday and bought a couple of casual maxi dresses, and I may pick up a couple more items over the next few days.
I'm having some neck issues for some reason, and I tried to get in to see a chiropractor before I leave (24 hours of traveling will NOT be fun with a bad neck), but they don't have any openings. Ugh. I'm just hoping somebody cancels and they can squeeze me in.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Morning ladies! I'm normally not up this early as it's just after 6 but the rain is keeping me awake.
It was a calm weekend for me. We took the car over to have the car seat inspected. It was installed correctly just no where near tight enough. Well that's what I get for being the one to put it in.
Nothing exciting going on today. DH gets off work at noon and then we will begin the final cleaning stage. Tomorrow I have 2 doctors appointments, one for an NST and one for my weekly checkup. Then its the opening game for the Seattle Sounders soccer team. I think its the one game that I am going to be able to go to before the baby gets here. We will see how I feel for some of he other games if I feel like I want to go.
raynes & sushi - have fun getting ready for your trips!
raynes (again) - pete was in a similar (or probably the exact same) position over the toilet on sat night after our party
kat - sorry to hear about your mom's accident, thankfully she is ok.
Friday I took off to clean, cook, and craft... the trifecta of domestication
The party was on Sat and even though I think we only had about 22 people (instead of 32-34 we thought were coming) it was a blast. Everyone had a really good time and I felt super accomplished with my betty homemaking and party throwing abilities. Now I need a new project...
We've been waiting for 2 or 3+mths for Dexter season 3 disc 2 on netflix... it's a 'VERY LONG WAIT'... a couple we are friends with has also stuck at the same disc, so they went to a closing blockbuster and just bought the season last wk, they are amazing and brought it with them (they live in Long Island) so we spent most of yesterday watching eps and lounging around.
ETA: PS - check out my blog for the Mint Chocolate Cupcake recipe, they were amazing! ::nom nom nom::

Good morning!
The weekend was pretty nice--Friday we ordered pizza and just relaxed. Saturday turned out to be a low-key day; we didn't even get to the grocery store, but we did get to spend a bunch of time together. Sunday I ran a St. Patrick's Day race (and kicked ass! for me, at least), we had brunch downtown, and then finished up the rest of our Sunday chores. We also decided on heading to Cancun in May instead of April, so we'll be buying those tickets soon. Sun Palace, here we come.
We're very happy because we thought we weren't going to be able to go.
So jealous of everyone's travels! It's been awhile since we went anywhere.
Sushi, I'll wave at you as you're flying over Cambodia
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Let's see.
Saturday morning, I made the bacon scones (yummy), then we ran our usual errands after we got the Taurus from the shop (new windshield).
My BIL's girlfriend's daughter, who is 20, is in town for the week and staying at MIL. We had them over for dinner Saturday night.
Sunday, I went to church and had another knitting workshop after. It's really bring what you are working on and folks who know what they are doing will help you, more than a lesson. Anyway, I finished my hat and started on a neck warmer to match it. The hat came out pretty darn good for my first knitting ever, but I need to put a couple of stitches in the top where it's gathered. I really love the way the neck warmer is coming out.
That's about it. I have a beta tomorrow to see if the IUI worked, but I tested yesterday and got a no, so I'm not hopeful.

Well, I'm on (wait for it) March Break! Woo! I'm pretty pumped this morning, what with the fact that I'm still in my pjs rather than at work on my way to teaching 2nd period. Today, I've got a ton of errands to run and groceries to get for our last Monday Night Vegan/the Bachelor Fest.

Good morning!
This weekend was ok. I worked Saturday. It turned out to be kind of interesting. There was an anime convention a block away so I had costumed people come check out the showroom part of our store.
Sunday Dh and I went and visited his family. His sister is turning 16 so we bought her a cool necklace from Spain and and ipod touch. She was so excited.
We also brought back his mom a Lladro. She collected them when she lived in Spain. She got all weepy. It was a Momma goose with for baby geese. (I picked it out since she has 4 kids.) It was really nice to see her so happy.
I also got to go driving in my convertible. It was finally nice weather. I put sunscreen on but missed a spot and have a bright red splotch on my collar bone.
EHayes - If you get Netflix streaming at all, Dexter is one of the Play Now options. I watched most of the episodes that way, rather than waiting for the discs.
Rebaan - It looks like you tested - on 12DPO for your last BFP, too. There's still hope! I'll keep all my fingers crossed for you.
Good Morning!
Raynes-When we went to the AI in DR we wore our swimsuits a lot. I would recommend packing sun-dresses and swimsuits!
We had a good weekend. DH was sick so he didn't want to do much yesterday so I ran errands and cleaned up the house a bit.
Saturday we had dinner with some friends and it was so nice to get out and spend some time with a fun group!
We have an appointment on Wednesday to hopefully hear a heartbeat.
Have a great day ladies!
EHayes - I LOVE Dexter. We just finished the last one available on Netflix Saturday. Needless to say, DH are now in for a long wait until the next Season is available.
Rebann - Still keeping fingers crossed for you, will be thinking of you tomorrow.
Good morning!
Rebann - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Good luck tomorrow!
I had a great weekend. Friday night Jason went to help his cousin with a remodel project and didn't get home until 1:00am, so I had a relaxing evening by myself. I drank a bottle of wine, took a bubble bath and watched a chick flick.
Saturday my two nephews (ages 2 &5) came to our house to stay the night. We had so much fun spending time with them. It also gave us a little taste of parenthood including a 5:00am knock on the bedroom door...."Aunt Brandi, are you awake.." lol!
Good morning ladies!
Reba - I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you!
We had a nice weekend. Friday and Saturday, went to see some houses, decided to put in an offer, but not holding my breath. Sunday we did all our errands and meet up with friends for dinner. That was fun and I have leftover pizza for lunch.
Today is another low key day at work. My stomach is bothering me a bit, not sure if I'm getting a bug or what but I hope I make it through the day especially since we have childbirth class tonight. Hope you all have a great day!
Reba: I know how hard it is to positive. I'm crossing my fingers for you.
Today I spent a whole day in training that was useless. I have class tonight, though I'd rather be having a gtg with Tobi and Amie.
In good news, I did get an email from the school I worked at last year about how to apply for the position they have available. Also another principal that I know has an opening at his school. So that's good. I don't want to leave the district if I don't have to.
Reba--fingers crossed for you!
My weekend was fine. Saturday I ran 8 miles and painted our office. Sunday I went to lunch with a couple of girlfriends that I hadn't seen in awhile. Other than that it was pretty laid back and relaxed.
This week is crazy busy though--lots of meetings, class on Wednesday night, and a dance to chaperone Friday night...I'm not looking forward to it.

I am super duper late to this, since I was running around school all day trying to get testing materials together and organized. We had a good weekend. My IL's were in town, and they helped out with the house. My MIL and I painted the entire living room, while DH and his dad put up blinds, fixed the toilet, unclogged some drains and hung some fixtures. It was fun, and I got in some good bonding time with my MIL.
The kids start the PSSA's tomorrow, so it should be an interesting week.
Late as always!
My weekend was okay. I had to work Saturday and Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised that even with the time change, I was functional at work AND ran a super speedy 10km right after I got home.
Worked again today and practice 'raced' a 5km when I got home - fastest time ever! Now we're off to our friends house to watch Breaking Bad. Hope to catch up on nesting when we get home.
Tomorrow is my super long day - 8 hours at the hospital and then 4 hours at Shoppers Drug Mart. I'll need some energy to get through.
