No! But that sounds super tasty!!
I used to do this with my classes (former HS math teacher) and it was so easy to get cleared since I taught Geometry....always a good day, and it broke up the mundane length of time between presidents day and spring break...
We always celebrated Pi day with pies, and Darwin's birthday with cupcakes (with turtles and finches drawn on them, of course).
I completely forgot about pi day! I would have mentioned it during my lecture today (but we talked about the spinal cord, which in cross section can kinda look like a pie).
I celebrated it with my students today! We are in the middle of CAPT, and today was the first Math CAPT test to so to give my students a small break since I teach geometry so they are all sophmores I played the Pi song, brought in Munchkins, and had them create "Numbers of Pi- Links" as a competition to se who could get the farthest in the link. Most of the students loved it, but others are too lazy to even have fun and refused to do anything and even gave me a huge write-up worthy attitude!
I work in a inner city h.s.and It is quite aggravating that most of my students expect to just arrive to class when they feel like it, not do ANYTHING and pass!
This is true! I was thinking of having a party of real Pi day once it rolls around. I think that would be a blast...hehe.
Of course it would have to start at 9:26am
