anniversary weekend recap

It was fabulous. We went to bed early both nights and slept in both mornings. Smile

Staying in a small town, surrounded by other small towns, there wasn't really anything to do except hiking, but it was rainy, so we just hung out with each other and ate a lot. The B&B was lovely, though very basic. However, they had really good breakfast, including pumpkin pie for dessert.

Nate did well with my parents. He latched on to my mom as soon as he realized we were gone (we snuck out while he was watching Elmo). He rarely let her out of his sight all weekend. She, of course, loved every minute of that. They fed him junk food and rocked him to sleep every night. Now, he's nice and spoiled.

I cooked our dinner tonight while Rodgers did Nate's bedtime routine - he hasn't been home for that in over 2 weeks. We had spicy baked salmon, roasted garlic asparagus (which I overcooked Sad), and almond/brown rice pilaf. Appi was veggie samosas, no salad (Rodgers says, "Me no leaves."), and fresh mango for dessert - I know, not a real dessert, but we love it.

Now, I'm putting my feet up for a few while Rodgers does the dishes! He is so sexy right now.
