Laundry disclaimer: I hardly ever wear business dress clothes b/c I'm in school and in lab clothes most of the time...so most of these answers are about DH.
1. Do you wash or dry clean dress shirts (button up shirts)? How many times will you wear before cleaning? Wash DHs shirts. He wears them twice before I wash, unless he got something on them, b/c he wears tshirt underneath.
2. If you wash dress shirts which cycles do you use and do you dry in the dryer? I use a warm/cold wash, delicate, dry for ten minutes in the dryer on low heat to get out some of the wrinkles, and then hang up to dry.
3. Do you wash or dry clean dress pants? How many times will you wear before cleaning? DH wears his dress pants a bajillion times before we dry clean them. I wear mine very infrequently, but dry clean most of them when I need to.
4. If you wash dress pants which cycles do you use and do you dry in the dryer? Dry clean. Although I'm tempted to try those dryel things...do they work?
5. How much do you spend to dry clean a shirt? sweater? pants? No idea. DH takes care of all that b/c he drops off and picks up on his way to work.
6. Anything else you'd like to add about your laundry routine? Sometimes I revert back to college-laundry mode and throw ALL clothes together and wash, ie don't sort darks and lights. I love to do laundry but I have folding it. Clean laundry will sit in the baskets for DAYS.1. Do you wash or dry clean dress shirts (button up shirts)? How many times will you wear before cleaning? This is primarily DH - Since he only wears dress shirts for church/going out, they get washed after several wears, unless they get a spill/start smelling. I take his dress shirts to the cleaners for convenience sake.
2. If you wash dress shirts which cycles do you use and do you dry in the dryer? Most of my "dry clean" shirts, I wash after 2-3 wearings in the washer, cold on delicate & then drip dry.
3. Do you wash or dry clean dress pants? How many times will you wear before cleaning? I'll wash my pants after 3-5 wears. Pretty much all my "dress pants" are from TJMaxx/Marshalls, so I'm not worried about them. If I had spent good money on them, I would probably dry clean them.
4. If you wash dress pants which cycles do you use and do you dry in the dryer? In cold water, delicate cycle, and then drip dry.

It's been so long since we cleaned anything else, I don't remember the charges for other things. For my "dry clean only" sweaters, hand wash them in the sink, roll them in a towel to get the extra water out, and then lay flat to dry. This works just as good as a dry cleaning. (again, if I had really expensive sweaters, I would get them dry cleaned, but I don't have any like that right now.)

3. Do you wash or dry clean dress pants? How many times will you wear before cleaning? wash. 1x, but most of my pants are GAP or B.R. and cotton/blend.

5. How much do you spend to dry clean a shirt? sweater? pants? I really don't know since I dry clean so infrequently
6. Anything else you'd like to add about your laundry routine? I have very sensitive skin so I try to not wear items that need dry cleaning. I'll do my nicer winter coats once it warms up so that they're clean for the following winter, but I try not to wear any materials that necesitate dry cleaning. Its NMS.

I don't wear business clothes either and avoid anything other than special occasion items that are dry-clean only. All of DH's work shirts and pants are washable, wrinkle- and stain-resistant.

3. Do you wash or dry clean dress pants? How many times will you wear before cleaning? Wash after 1 or maybe 2 wearings, depending on when DH puts them in the hamper
4. If you wash dress pants which cycles do you use and do you dry in the dryer? Permanent Press for both washer and dryer - right along with his shirts and my tops in the "work clothes" load

6. Anything else you'd like to add about your laundry routine? I don't even remember the last thing I bought that was dry-clean onlyETA - everything gets washed in cold/cold. I always hang or fold everything fresh from the dryer to prevent wrinkles. My dryer has a 20 min. "Wrinkle Refresh" option that uses steam to get any wrinkles out. I use that option all the freaking time. Loooove it!

5. How much do you spend to dry clean a shirt? sweater? pants? For me--Shirt: $3, Sweater: $6-7, Pants: $6, I have no clue about DH's since he is the one that usually takes things to the dry cleaners

Anything else you'd like to add about your laundry routine? we have 5 categories of laundry--whites, darks, delicates, regular baby, and baby with stains, spit up, urine or poopy, collectively known as the "tushie wash", which is kept in a closed pail at all times and washed with borax and washing soda plus free and clear detergent.
1. i love the name tushie wash. 2. this totally reminds me of the friends episode where they play the trivia game for the girls' apartment, and one of the questions is how many categories of towels monica has...it's 11.
