What did everyone think about last night?
I think that the whole thing is a mess! I do think that Brad probably knew early on that he was probably going to pick Emily. Being on the show is obviously not real life, but I do think most people can tell pretty quickly who you are attracted to. I was kind of annoyed with Emily, but I can see where she's coming from. She is a little more reserved than most women cast on the show (from what we were shown, at least), but what did she expect?
It would have been ridiculous if they would have gotten married last night, and I'm so glad they didn't! They do need to live in the real world, but it is going to be hard doing it long distance. I would be totally surprised if it actually worked out....they'll probably be broken up next week!
Re: Who wants to talk about The Bachelor?! *spoilers*
Aren't they already broken up? It sounded that way on the radio this morning but maybe I misunderstood.
They broke up and got back together, apparently....

I thought it was very clear that they love each other...but not whether or not their relationship will work. I can't IMAGINE having a man say to me, "I fell in love with you on day 5, but yeah, definitely had sex with someone else on day 75." What? So I totally understand what she's going through.
But I thought he, especially, seemed very sincere last night. He loves her deeply. I really hope they make it.
I completely agree with all of this!

I think it's a train wreck! They are so not right for each other on so many levels and it's a bummer because I think he's done a lot of work on himself, but he chose his "old self"...
I think I have never heard a more cringe-worthy engagement story than the TV host having to ask each one, "do you think you're still engaged?" and each answering independently and Brad saying, basically, "yay, glad you think so too!"
I was a big Chantal fan and thought they could have a ton of fun without any of the drama-rama Emily brings.
Late to the party... If I were Brad (or any guy) I would have picked Emily too. I mean, c'mon, she's absolutely gorgeous and sweet. There was no doubt in my mind from watching him interact with her on the show that he was going to pick her. I'm not a huge Chantal fan, but it was so painful to watch her repeatedly say "I better get a ring" and "You're going to pick me" etc.
I haven't watched "After the Final Rose" yet. I've always had my doubts that Emily was into Brad. As someone on another board noted, she has quite the set up in NC. Also, I don't think Brad is quite on her "level."
I'm happy that Ashley H. will be the next bachelorette.
