Does anyone else watch "DC Cupcakes?"
I love all those baking shows (Cake Boss, Ace of Cakes, Cupcake Wars, etc.) & cupcakes are kind of the third love of my life (after my nieces & my husband). It's two sisters running a cupcake bakery, wearing cute pink aprons & adorable pink rain boots.
I love pink, I love cupcakes, and I love love LOVE my sister. This show has ALL the elements of a "Sara's new favorite show." I should be obsessed, yes?
NOPE! I'm so annoyed. These two have ruined an otherwise perfect show for me by constantly saying "Mommy." Their mom works with them sometimes, and they never say "our mom" or "our mother" or even just "Mom." It's like every other word is "Mommy." Mommy is superstitious, Mommy likes to drink Bailey's, Mommy keeps sneaking up on us! Blah. It just sounds so baby-talk to me & I can't handle baby-talking adults.
Anyone else ever notice this?

Ugh, I totally agree! I can't watch the show because of how stupid they act/sound and all the "mommy" going on. I wanted to be so into it because I'm only an hour from DC and know a lot of people who actually get cupcakes there, but nope, the show is horrible.
FYI, Ace of Cakes is only about an hour from me too, but the minimum for their cake orders is $1000.00 so I don't stand of chance of ever going there lol.
I know! I was just talking to Chris about how disturbing the "mommy" thing is. I find them really annoying.
We have a similar show in Canada called Cupcakes Girls. They have a cupcake store chain that began in Vancouver. I go whenever I am there...they're wonderful
