Had a bikini wax? Get in here
I'm going for the first time on Saturday. I've always used a razor but since soon my view will be blocked by a big ol' behbeh belly, I'd be smart to find an alternate solution for landscaping. Plus it'll be summer and I'll no doubt wear a swimsuit.
ANYWAY~ What advice can you offer me? What kind of wax have you had? Tell me all about it please.
Also, does anyone know what the hell a Rio wax is? On the list of services, "Rio" is listed between "Basic Bikini" and "Brazilian"....I assume its something in between the two.

Dude, when you're done, get vajazzled!
from my local salon:
Do you offer vajazzling?
Yes, for special occasions or when you want to mix it up, Glow offers vajazzling. This is a Brazilian wax followed by a Swarovski crystal tattoo design that is adhered to the bikini area. There are starburst, butterfly, hearts and other shapes to choose from.

Um I suggested this and it was brought to my attention that he might lose his concentration and the job wouldnt get done. I'm sure it'll hurt more because I'm pregnant but thats a risk I'm willing to take.
Thanks MB, I'll check that out.

I've had bikini and Brazillian. Make sure they use hard wax (wax hardens and they don't need a cloth strip) it doesn't hurt as much. Take Advil before you go and make sure hair is long.
Rio is sometimes called European and that means it includes the bum. Never did this. I have a hard time getting a full Brazilian nevermind my bum.
Unfortunately it is the crack and hole. Not the cheeks. I hate that I just said that!
FANCY!!
Had this convo with my gal-pals a couple of months ago about this and we couldn't stop laughing. Apparently, Jennifer Love Hewitt is a HUGE fan and talked about it on George Lopez' show.
What design would you get? For those inexperienced an arrow might be nice. LOL
Wow, I love my salon....
This is what they say the difference is (I assume French is their Rio/European):
What is the difference between a Bikini wax, a French bikini wax and a Brazilian bikini wax.
A bikini wax follows the traditional panty line. A French bikini wax comes in a little further and leaves a small strip of hair. A Brazilian bikini wax is everything (and we mean everything - including the thong line).

Ahhh, ok.
If I had it done, it would be my luck that I would end up passing gas while they are "working" in that area.
