If you were going to be on a deserted island completely alone for a YEAR, what 3 items would you take (assuming you can construct a shelter with what's there, find food and water)

Re: Tuesday QOTD
a giant vat of sunblock
a kindle loaded with books
a hoola hoop or some other fun thing
a deck of playing cards
an acoustic guitar
a teach yourself another language book series, probably french or italian
just out of curiosity, how long do their batteries last?
They actually last a really long time. Not a year, mind you, but it'd keep you occupied for a while.
2) a vat of SPF 100 sunscreen
3) a change of underwear
1) Chapstick
2) Sunglasses
3) A float or a fun beach toy of some sort
ETA: Item, not a living thing, right? because I'd totally take Brodie.
(Don't tell DH)
Good one, clseale.
1. Float
2. Kindle
3. Razor (I'd start disgusting myself after a few days and spending all of my time lounging naked or in my underwear on a beach float in the water)
These questions always stress me out. For some reason, when the desert island question is asked, my mind actually starts to think I am going to be stranded and that this is critical info
Kindle or a long book series. Like Outlander or something
A very large supply of sunscreen
A notebook and several pens or a laptop with a somehow infinite charge so I can write
Also, does DH count as a thing? Because I love him and stuff, but also a year without hanky-panky is a REALLY long time.
1) Sunscreen
2) Sunglasses
3) a pack of cards
(if there was no fresh water to drink then I would bring water instead of cards)
they do make solar powered ipod chargers! they look like a check book with a plug attached, it opens up to reveal the panels.
i changed mine, now i want one of those and a kindle with tons of books
