I promised I would post these, and Hannah, Kearstin, & Ale want to see them, so here they are! Please excuse all of the items that obviously don't belong in the room.
Edit: You will have to scroll over - I'm sorry!
We moved the armoire from our living room into his room for a bit more storage, so it doesn't match his furniture perfectly, but it's pretty darn close!
We also plan to put his name above his crib, along with perhaps some other design, depending what we're able to do.

Standing by the window:

We plan to hang a big mirror above the dresser, and it will of course have a changing pad on top. It's also FULL of clothes (already divided by size and type!) ![]()

The blue/green color in the crib skirt is the exact color of the wall - just doesn't look like it because of the material.

My mom and I were at Home Depot on Saturday buying paint brushes, etc., and I saw this rug and thought it would match what I wanted to do with his room. Unfortunately, since our walls are textured, we may not be able to use the vinyl decal circles, so this might end up in our dining room instead.
I also obviously need to add curtains, and we are going to put this bookcase horizontally under his window for his books, toys, etc. We will also put a rocking chair or glider somewhere in the room.

Re: Nursery - PIP
Wow! It looks great already!! I lol'd at the drawers being full andddd sorted already
I love the two tone walls and the rug. I really like the bedding, it so nice.
I can't wait to see pics of the little guy sleeping all curled up in that crib!
What a great nursery. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you all!
The colors turned out perfectly! It was exactly as I envisioned! Since I couldn't paint, Chris and my parents did it while I was at a friend's baby shower / running errands on Saturday. It was nice to come home to fully painted walls, a chair rail, and the furniture pretty much all put together! Then I got to do the fun stuff like filling the drawers and putting the bedding on!
Kearstin - I can't wait to see him in there either! Although I do enjoy having him wiggle around where he is now...I can actually see my belly moving now when he moves, which is SO awesome!
And, yes, I might have slight OCD...hence the part about the clothes being sorted

Oh Megan, it's adorable!! I love the colors and the chair rail. Where did you get the furniture from?
And who's the little guy in the pic? Nephew?

Thanks! The furniture is from a local baby furniture store. The brand is Creations - I think it's a big company so I'm pretty sure one could find it anywhere that sells baby furniture.
And, yes, that's my nephew when he was a baby - he's four now and even cuter than he was then, which I thought would be impossible!

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermI was just reading how Mothers tend to want to keep the baby in the belly because they know they are safe from the world, etc. That must be an interesting feeling to want to keep it there. And for the moving.. any feet sticking out or anything?? I always think that's wild when you can identify the part thats popping out lol
That's exactly right! It's nice to know he's safe. No one else can hold him right now either, which is totally selfish of me, but I love that it's just the two of us! I'm having major anxiety about having to share him with other people when he's born...especially since so many people come to visit right away. I'm going to have a really hard time with that.
Definitely no identifiable body parts yet! I can tell where he kicks his feet, and from there, figure it's his head, shoulders, or arms moving where I can see, but I'm really just guessing. I gently poke him sometimes when he moves to get him to move more, and he typically responds. Unless Chris is there, and then he quits moving all together. Several of my friends said their babies did the same thing. I kind of wonder if there's something to that, or if it's just one of those things that happen so quickly, it's easy for your husband to miss it. I'm going with the latter, I think!

ADORABLE! I love your baby posts Megan! Thanks for sharing.
Random question - how do you make the pics so big?? Whenever I PIP they are always small and I have no way of resizing...?

Thanks Brooke! I always feel like I post too much about it, so when I do that, please please please tell me!
I post big pictures because I'm super annoying and want everyone to see the details - haha!
The pictures that I took are actually huge, and when I put them on Photobucket, I size to the 680x480 (or something like that) size if I want them to be a little bigger on here. Otherwise, I just do the 320xwhatever (can't remember) that's the next size down.

Aww, Megan, the nursery is perfect! I love the colors you chose, and the furniture is just gorgeous.
You must be so excited!
Where did you get the crib and changing table? I love cherrywood and the sleigh bed look. (nevermind had to read a little more)
Thats a really cute baby room and love the colors.
