In the post below Patty (stumpy) mentioned she is going to help take in displaced people due to the earthquake in Japan. I wanted to raise some money to send her. Is anyone interested? She can use it how she feels fit in the situation. She will know what the greatest need is at the time.

OMG, Becky (and Andrea) you are so amazingly awesome to think of this. Seriously, it's amazing. I want to cry. I just came on here ready to write a big cry-fest about the crap going on, and then this just took away so much of the bad feelings. Thank you both so much, from the bottom of my heart.
Here's the thing- I can't do much or make very good use of money in my position. I'm not allowed to buy supplies from base (which is the only place for me to get them) to help victims, and I wouldn't know what else to do with it except to donate it to the red cross. I'm not sure when people will be joining our house or for how long we'll house them, but I'm sure the financial aspect of that will be minimal. Honestly, if you are kind of enough (and in the position to be able to) to want to help, relief groups desperately need supplies (specifically: non-perishable food, warm clothing, blankets, baby clothes, and diapers). If you have anything you can donate, you can send packages to any of the following addresses:
