conference call = bleh
Conference calls are rising on my list of top annoying things to sit through. Right there with it is someone yelling into the phone (which the current speaker is doing,) mouth breathing into the phone, and chewing while on the phone.
Anyone else have any complaints this morning?

Ewwwwww I hate when people breath into the phone or chew into it. I think maybe I'd accidentally get disconnected.
My complaint is I'm not feeling any better. My face is so flush and I feel hot but my temp is normal. My sinus and throat are killing me though. I just want to be home curled up in bed. I'm trying to see if I can weasel some antibiotics out of my MIL at the moment. H went to the min clinic yesterday and they told him it was "viral" bronchitis and wouldn't give him antibiotics.
Conf calls suck, esp if you aren't very involved for the exact reasons you mentioned.
I had no complaints when I got in this morning, then I found out my client's bio-mom died this morning. So sad. First time this has happened to me.
Glad I'm not the only one!! I started with this last wed!! What is funny is that H's illness seems to be totally different from mine. I'm seriously contemplating calling out on Thursday. Its frowned on when calling out and you will have several days off after words (Id be off wed-sun) and people know I am going away this weekend. I just talked to my manager a few mins ago and he will be gone for a week and a half on a mission trip to south America. That doesnt help me make the right choice
I guess Ill see how I feel tomorrow night.

I don't remember what you do for work though.
Every qtr we have a chance to bonus through goals well since I was out some of this qtr they won't give it to me (didn't give me 4th qtr's either since I was out for some and the qtr before that they had a freeze) but I get to still do all the stuff which is do 5 trainings in our system and report back what you learned and what you'd fix etc etc...that's all the goals said
Now she says it has to be really intensely creative and she's going to ask other managers how they're employee's did (don't think she should be able to do that) and if we're not really creative she won't give 100% (which is crap since the written goal does not state that) and here's the kicker...you can't use powerpoint because she feels it's time consuming.
So basically you want me to be really creative without the tool that create that quickly for me? So instead I've spent 2 days trying to figure out how to be creative and I'm almost ready to say f it literally in my presentation and hope to get fired haha

Does your manager get more money if she doesn't bonus you guys out? It seems really strange that she wouldn't want to give her employees a bonus unless it means something to her.
