Seriously, I try not tot hate on him, because he has done a lot of good events that has brought people out, however when he gets all dramatic like this, it drives me crazy.
He calls it "the most complex and difficult undertaking yet" that will "impact how the outside world views Grand Rapids."
I wonder if they are going to ban Joe from the press conference.
Re: He is at it again...
Or a wedding.
I hope not. That was hilarious last time.
And I agree to feeling nauseated at the drama - and it reminds me of the mom from Arrested Development: "Everything they do is so dramatic and flamboyant. It just makes me want to set myself on fire."
Eh, I don't always care for his events, but I really do appreciate the fact that he tries and wants to make a positive impact on his community. It's more than a lot of people will ever do!
The dramatic wording is all part of selling the fun. If he just said, "Yeah, it'll be pretty cool, you should come," no one would get excited!
Y'all know I love Rob Bliss.
As far as the drama, he's been hanging with Suzie G too much.
Agree with you
Dont get me going on Suzie G. Errrrr
gigglesnort.
I was wondering if it was a birthday party or some sort of celebration for the city as well. That might be neat. I won't lose sleep over trying to figure it out though. Like Rob is going to keep me hanging on the edge of my seat for months to come with his vague announcement.
A wedding? That will change the way people from the outside view GR, or will be seen by one million people?? Please. I'd hope no one would flatter themselves that much....
So whose wedding are you thinking, gvsu? Just curious...
LOL at the Arrested Development comment. I miss that show.
The wedding thought came from his facebook page. He has drawings of clue - one looks like a bridal party on the stairs of GRAM and then there is a photo that looks like a cake, so everyone on FB was saying a wedding. Sorry I didn't put that reference in there.
Looks at the Feb 25 post

The cake photo has a topper of "161" which is how old GR is (founded in 1850). So that makes it seem like a birthday party for GR.
Yeah... that's what I was thinking.
BTW, Rob Bliss wins. Look at this long thread discussing him and his event.
He is WINNING!
Crap! The definition of "winning" must have changed and no one told me.
