What's Up Wednesday?!!

Still trying to get my footing at work after vacation - always a fun time. I am very grateful that ALL of my co-workers really stepped up to take care of some important things that came up while I was gone. It's nice to know you really are covered well while you're gone.

Have a funeral to attend this morning, which is a bit sad. Truly decent human being that lived to be 100. That's a life to be celebrated and I hope to stay focused on the gratitude of it.

Hoping to get a run in this evening. I've been a total slacker for the past few days and I need to get prepped for the Heart Mini this weekend.

How's your week stacking up?

Re: What's Up Wednesday?!!

  • My week is "eh".  Not great or terrible either way.  Work is still very busy.  I'm just plain exhausted juggling everything the past few months

I got home last night and saw the For Sale sign in our front yard.  A few tears welled up in my eyes b/c its finally real.  I'm hopeful that things will work out for us.  Its bittersweet but also very exciting at the same time!

I'm glad that I shouldn't have to work this weekend.  I really want to sleep in!

  • I love vacations but hate the work and crap you have to deal with when you get back!  Maternity leave should be interesting!!

@lovey-YAY! for the for sale sign!  Not too much longer!

My day is ok so far.  One day closer to DH leaving Crying I'm really trying not to focus on it but its hard!

Its only 9 am!  UGH!  gonna be a slow day!

  • I am trying my best NOT to walk around with a giant rain cloud over my head due to being indefinitely sidelined from running. It's not working super well; then again, the ACTUAL rain clouds are not helping matters any. Grumble.

Was going to hit the gym and cross-train this morning, but I forgot how long an MRI can take. It's my late day but I still didn't have time for the gym. Gotta shower now and get out the door. Oh, and I do get a 10% discount on the MRI for paying today, but I wiped out my LASIK fund. More grumble.

(I have an HSA - that's the LASIK fund - and I do have insurance but it's a high deductible that I never meet because I'm usually healthy as a horse. So it's about as good as having no insurance.)

Yeah, I'm an effing ray of sunshine today. Feel free to smack some sense into me.

  • Happy Hump Day!!  We are halfway there!  Yipee!! Yesterday was the first day I felt like a living human being after being so sick the past week and a half.  It can only go up from here, which is good because next week we are headed to Europe for vacation.  I would HATE to be sick on my European vacation.  It would make me mad!

Last night I made some cupcakes from scratch and tonight I am going home to make some buttercream icing.  :)  Cannot wait to get them iced and decorated so we can eat them!

I hope everyone has a relaxed Wednesday! -A-

@lovely--Congrats on the "For Sale" sign in the yard!!  I hope it goes fast for you!

Oh man, sounds like a rough day.  Here's to hoping the sunshine comes out sooner rather than later for you! :)  Fingers crossed for good results from the MRI!

Thanks. :) Provided the MRI doesn't show anything bad (possible stress fracture or something close to it), I will be able to run after 2 pain-free weeks. I soooo can't wait to start THAT countdown - both so I can run again, and because this limping thing is getting really old. :) Best case scenario, though, that would give me four weeks to work up from NO running to a marathon. I'm about as stubborn as they come, though.

I also don't get to find out what's on the MRI until I see the doc in another week. I have the films, though - anyone know how to read an MRI?? Or just want to look at my insides?? LOL!

Jealous of your European vacation, btw! Where are ya going??

  • Ughhhh!  I pulled a muscle in my shoulder earlier this week & it's not getting any better.  I have an appointment for a new family doc in April & I'm going to ask for physical therapy.  It's time for me to get in better shape but I need help so I don't keep hurting myself!

Other than that, week's been pretty good.  Co-worker & I are going to a St. Pat's Day lunch buffet tomorrow!!

We are headed to Germany next week on Friday and we'll be doing Austria, France, and Germany, of course.  I grew up there, so I am excited to take my hubby back and show him the ropes!

You should definitely do it!! Germany is absolutely beautiful.  Rolling hills, castles on top of almost every one of those hills.  It really is amazing.  If you need recs on where to go, let me know!
