I denied one offer and accepted the other offer, with their contingency that they come and see the house first. They put down earnest money and want the house, they just want to see it in person, which is understandable. Since they weren't 100%, we told them that we're keeping the house on the market and accepting new offers, as well as keeping there's as the front runner until they see the house in person. Apparently, I do all the accepting and denying even though the final say is up to the bank.
Well, another offer came in (!!!) and the first offer took the contingency off and will take the house sight unseen 100%! Im so excited, but still apprehensive because I know how these things go.
We just submitted my listing, the offer, my hardship packet and the authorization to deal with my REA to my lender. Now is the hard part. Waiting and waiting and waiting. Now that my REA is in contact with my lender, I dont have to deal with them at all anymore. Also, as soon as the buyers do their inspection (hopefully within the next 15 or so days) I can shut off the utilities, which saves me a bundle.
Tentative closing date is June 6... but we'll see and I'll keep yall updated!
