Birthday Party Check in
Hello ladies!! I'm sorry I don't have pictures to show just yet. I promise to post some on FB by the end of the week. We couldn't get a lot of good ones because Derelle was such a busy body!!
My parents, brothers and I arrived at the community center around 1230pm to decorate and get everything set up. Hubby came with Derelle around 130pm. The party started at 200pm, and it was a blast. There was about 13 kids there all around the ages of 3 and 5, so I'm so glad that we decided to do 3 games! The kids had sooo much energy!! They loved the games! They wanted to play more!
As favors, we personalized colorful (pastel color) buckets (think easter buckets that are out now). We used stickers and decorated the front of them and put each child's name on it. We went even further and put 5 little things in there that that particular child would like. As soon as the kids were coming in, they saw a bucket with their name on it and wanted to take it off the table. So, they were really excited about it. I'm glad my mom thought of that idea. I'm just upset that I dont think I got any pictures of the decorations. I totally forgot. I got so wrapped up in entertaining and trying to get pictures of derelle that it slipped my mind. I hope my parents got pictures of the buckets at least! They were cute!!
Derelle was crawling all around the room with all the little kids! He took NO naps!!!! He barely wanted to eat and he didn't want any of his cake! He just wanted to play, play, play which was totally fine! My parents bought him a wagon which he loves!! While we were cleaning up, Derelle was getting pushed around on his wagon. It was so cute. He didn't even want to get out!
When we arrived home, we were all exhausted - derelle (hubby), my parents, brothers and I. I really wanted to take a nap but little derelle wasnt having that! He wanted to play with all of his toys!!
Overall, it was awesome! It was a lot of work, but it was totally worth it in the end!! I can't believe that my parents threw a party for me EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR!! Goodness!!
Oh yea, and we have to make a trip to IKEA to buy some type of cubbie system to put all his toys in because a toy box isnt going to cut it.
We're also blessed that he received enough clothes that will last him through the summer!! We just have to buy a few undershirts and thats about it!
