HR Positions?

Hi Atlanta Nesties- I am looking for an HR position within a growing company. Has anyone heard of anything at your company or just by word of mouth? I'm an HR Generalist with over 4 years of experience looking to get into a company where I can stay!! I live in Canton, GA and would like to stay in the northern suburbs so I don't have to fight the highway traffic. Thanks in advance for any leads!!

Re: HR Positions?

  • Yay, another Nestie in my area!

I don't know of any, but just wanted to say good luck! I figure Woodstock/Kennesaw/Marietta would be your best bet. I live in Woodstock (Towne Lake) and work in Kennesaw and even on bad days, my commute straight down 575 isn't so bad compared to most! :)

  • I'm kind of in the same boat as you.  It's tough out there!  Have you looked on Indeed?

  • Well I live closer to the Alpharetta line so I'm not that close to 575! 400 is closer to me. I actually work in Alpharetta now and it only takes about 15 min to get to work. I like my job (not love)! But I need more benefits, money, etc. More of a long term position. What do you guys do for a living?
  • I'm not sure what your background is in, but I know at one time North Fulton Hosp. had a HR need.  I live in Alpharetta and I would love to work closer to home.  I'm a Healthcare recruiter.  Embarrassed

  • This most likely will not help with your request to work in the Northern Burbs, but if you are looking for an HR position have you tried government contractors? My Mom retired from a city government job when she was around 50. She got bored and decided to start working Part-time for Federal Government contractors. Her 2 month contract has been going on for over 3 years. Just a thought.

  • You know I have applied at the North Fulton hospital, but it's an online application through Tenet Healthcare (I think) and I never heard from anyone! That would be the ideal position bc that's what I do and great location.

I never looked into the Government Contractors. I'm really putting my feelers out there bc I need to make a change sooner than later whether it's in the HR field or something completely different. I wish I could make stuff for living and work from home! LOL
