Do you and DH tend to agree when it comes to politics?

We need to learn not to discuss it. We spent 3 hours last night arguing politics. We are on the same page when it comes to just about everything else in life, but it gets feisty in our house during election time.

We lean pretty much the same way and enjoy talking about it (we're in similar fields and work closely with the government, so it's something that comes up practically every day).

We do, yes. Part of that, I think, is because we both have backgrounds in poli sci and philosophy. Most graduates tend to come out of universities with those programs with similar approaches to the world of politics (at least, that's more likely in countries were there aren't radicalized religious universities).

Ultimately, I couldn't see being with someone whose world view is totally different than my own. That doesn't mean that we agree on who should be elected, but it does mean that we agree on what we want out of the gov't.

Yep. We are both liberals. We try not to talk about politics around DH's family because they are all conservatives and it just makes for trouble. My immediate family is liberal, so we'll sometimes discuss politics there.

We are on the same page. We don't really discuss it much. I come from a family where what your politics were was never discussed. My parents wanted us to come up with our own thoughts on things. DH is from a very political family and they talk all the time.

we're on the same page for the most part, but when it comes to funding policies, we differ. I work for a small business and he's a contractor for the government, so we have pretty different backgrounds in terms of where money should be spent. we tend to not talk about that aspect. haha
