I'm pretty sure MIL knows/suspects
Last week I mentioned to her that we needed to start planning Nick's 30th b-day party. She goes on to say how she always tell's FIL that Nick was at his 30th b-day party (in her ute). Why would she mention something like that? Am I completely nuts thinking that she knows/suspects? I'm I irrational to be pissed if she does know or suspects?
Oh and I had to point out to her that it wasn't FIL's 30th that Nick was in here ute since she had him when they were both 28. SMH.
Re: I'm pretty sure MIL knows/suspects
What does that stand for? Sorry for the dumb question - I've seen it before but don't know what it means!!
Would she have reason to suspect anything? Have you been sick around her or anything that could tip her off? Perhaps she was just reminiscing on her son?? MILs are so sneaky sometimes though...
Shaking My Head
I dunno, I haven't been sick around here. But I have stopped drinking coffee and I didn't go skiing this weekend when we took the teens on a trip (blamed it on needing to do homework)
Hmmmmmmm
Maybe it's just wishful thinking on her part?? When are you going to tell them?

What Stacey said. Does she have reason to suspect anything?
I think it's a combo of wishfull thinking and dropping hints that she wants you guys to get started.
MIL's love to make comments like that, I think even the nicest ones think they need to help prod things along. My MIL on the other hand said stuff like that all the flipping time and in the end it seemed she just wanted to be able to say she suspected all along (even though for the first 2 years she was always wrong).
Welcome to the dark side
i agree with the wishful thinking. you probably wouldn't think anything of it if you weren't. kwim?
ha! you are pregnant kitty. every week is the longest week ever! get used to it! LOL
oh and take it as a compliment that she wants to be a grandma. my MIL's first words were, 'i'm too young to be a grandma.' ummm. no you aren't psycho. your son is 31 and you are like 50.
